@4cix you should learn to read. What the poster was saying is that at the time of the divesture IBM PDKs were industry leading and since 2015 GF has continued to outsource all the resources and the PDK has gone from leading edge to lagging behind the competition. The current version of PDK GF offers has gotten strong customer feedback that they are lagging TSMC, UMC and Samsung but yet we continue to outsource resources and fall further behind.

leading IBM pdk? leading and IBM don't go well in the same sentence. You sound like you were ex-IBM. IBM pdk's are research/academic pdks. fabless companies make fun of IBM pdk.
If there is one, it will be continued acceleration to get rid of fab location higher cost employees and outsource more of those jobs to low-cost geos where newbies will be trying to do the job of experienced engineers which we all know will lead to falling further behind the competition due to lack of big thinker engineers. Look at the PDK group within GF, 90%+ of the resources have been outsourced and the industry leading PDK IBM gave GF during the divesture is now lagging the industry. Decisions by poor leadership like this example are ruining GF as a company.
For now it seems we are already in deep trouble as there are not min required people left. Heard that we will hire young engineers to get rid of experienced and costly engineers.
At this point, does even matter? Another lay-off won’t improve the direction of the company. The culture there will still be miserable. More work for remaining employees. SLT will still continue to bleed the company by way of stock grants and subsequent stock dumps. Job market is still good, companies are hiring. Why wait and let GF dictate your fate?
