Just laid off 400 basically. In the Spectrum Reach division you have to move to Charlotte, Dallas or St. Louis by January or lose your job. Spectrum Business has to Austin, Tampa or St. Louis. That is if there is a place for you. You have to work until January to get severance. The amount of work you put into this place for them to let you go on a five minute call.

I just found out I'm losing my favorite type 2 person because of this.

There is another round expected in 2026 Q1, no one is safe as i understand it. Get out while you can on your terms.
The customer commitment that Charter is currently pushing is a LIE. They are laying off or losing talent and in turn hiring people or moving work flow to people who have zero clue how to handle things.
In NY we lost people too. Hard to know what to think with the way this was done. The people who made these decisions were noticeably absent from the aftermath. Hard to trust my leaders now because who knows what they know or don’t know. Hard to trust HR as I’m not even sure who to call after our HR person stopped working with our group last year and then the replacement left before all this. Hope these decisions prove to be the right ones. There are still great people here and we are in it together.
