Wellmed in El Paso. About 6 total laid off. Pbms, quality staff, and psu staff…. Good luck yall. I was one of those impacted. Felt terrible for everyone impacted.
@OP Wellmed case management lost all directors and VP and SVP. HCD lost 23, quality physician support units lost quite a few. More to come Prayers for people who lost their jobs and the ones coming. No one is safe. Optum has their own employees do not need Wellmed n

I was a Director and was laid off yesterday.
Florida VPs and any assistants to leadership are next on 10/30. Next round VPs layoff discussions happened this week (HR Only).

Some RIFs and re-org in Optum Serve
I'm at OI and my team was pulled into a meeting this morning to let us know 2 people on our team were let go and that the layoff was across the organization. How far that spans, I don't know. They've also been giving us projects so that they can automate our jobs but we're being told it's fine, it'll just free us up for other, more specialized work. We were hit a few months back too and have had a number of people who have left voluntarily and they aren't backfilling.

Layoffs are happening. Most of us will follow them unless you’re fortunate to be given white glove executive separation treatment or find employment elsewhere. Good luck all. I hope our leaders know what they are doing.
