It seems that there was a meeting yesterday between European Human Resources and the unions.
I imagine that the layoffs were discussed. Do you know if they have been announced in certain countries?
I haven't received any feedback in Austria.
Has anyone heard anything?

What does AT mean ?
30 engineers are marked for firing in AT
@r1 you don't enjoy labor protections during your first 6 months of tenure. You can be let go on a moment's notice.
@pw what do you mean by "they will def gonna get rid of anyone with their 6 month start contract"?
@cs they are up to a certain point, they will def gonna get rid of anyone with their 6 month start contract. The work council right now is trying hard to re route anyone with of which their department is currently getting closed to avoid layoff but that will only work up to a certain point. Everyone has their as--s clenched. They are doing right now performance reviews of everyone to figure which one to fired according to their made up metric according to what I overhead a manager speaking over their meetings. Probably we are gonna see the aftermath after new years.
France layoff started they are targeting all the sites in France
In Germany some CTO are getting laid off
Absolute non-sense in the « strategist » mind
@dx Out of all the other chat threads, I have a feeling that they are targeting RF and manufacturing in US. I don’t know if this will be the same in EU
Workers counsil in NL is weak. Mosthly layoffs in IT
I thought countries like The Netherlands and Germany were protected under workers protection.
Which domain are they targeting?
Netherlands as well. Eindhoven will be hit hard
Yes it's coming. If you take holidays at the drop of the hat. Don't work on weekends or holidays while rest of the company sloughs and burns midnight oil.
