Thread regarding GE Aviation layoffs

Large layoffs hitting soon

Well we all seen the layoff confirming email from John. Looks like a rough road ahead next year. This should not be a surprise to anyone. Aviation way over-hired when things were looking good. Now we pay the piper. Good luck everyone.

Has anybody’s plants addressed this yet? Our coach only said the plant manager would find out more tomorrow in a meeting with Hobbs.

Once the covid vaccines start being implemented in the population and the economy improves, you will see a mass exodus from this mismanaged company known as GE. Noone needs to put up with this c-appy GE environment and the never-ending layoffs.

Hooksett's plan is to eliminate anyone who will not be a yes man, and to eliminate all Legacy employees. They brought back everyone, and did not place them back at their previous payrate. Current management wants the highest rate to be an H20. They will lay off huge numbers, modify the pay rates (some aviation plants are one payrate), then call back whom they please. A union will do you no good. A few of us tried to get IAM, but the new hires were too stupid to listen. You can't get a union when work is gone, no leverage. B's mindset, and he said it many times, the legacy employees are the reason his piss poor plans won't work. The staff is clueless, and not only mismanaging the plant, but playing games most would call mis-appropriation of funds with the stas money verses X10. Their time is coming. DOD has been notified. And Military Mature area is at the forefront. They are not following process. The lead engineer is bypassing the DOD and FAA rules for modifying prints by using a third party company. They layed off or fired the wrong people a few months ago. They got lawyers, and contacted DOD. Perp walks are coming. Happy Holidays Boss!

Well, it all goes back to the same overall problem.
Zero accountability for these kids they promote into GE executive socialites roles.
They like to spend their time posting on Linkedin about their promotions. Oddly enough, most of them never worked in the real world and think they are top tier talent.
The cycle of incompetence needs to be broken. Let's hope the new CEO plays whack a mole with the EB level folks this time around.
I doubt they can layoff the workers again in this round. Wait, is this round 3 or 4.

Ge lies look at hooksett in the morning Brandon sends out an email on how Rosie next year looks
And then 3 hours later john says more layoffs ahead we need a union in hooksett now we need to fight for our jobs and the only way we can do that is to unionize

Craziest part is, Aviation in Hooksett just hired back 100 people within the last 3 months. 16 salary etc.

We get back and months later we're being threatened with layoffs again.
All that aside, i'm wondering if there is a job security in ANYTHING anymore,
