I guess reading is not something you ever knew or you never worked at Boeing and one of those guys who come here just to stir the pot. Anyone with even 6 months of experience at Boeing would know the difference between BCA & BSC.

Cannot be for sure but consider this , if IAM has 20k employees in BCA and they shut down assuming all the employees left after layoffs are at $ 30/hr just shutting down is $24-25 million saving for them a week and 3 months is 300 million plus in saving. 737 and 777-x are in no rush to go anywhere . If 787 is going to BSC it can be shut down . Only question is is if they can negotiate with their customers for a delayed delivery of 767 & 747. All of us who work in puget sound locations know how bad the company is bleeding money. It does male a financial sense to do a shutdown.

And after that doesn't happen, people like you will say November, and just before Christmas.
It's a never ending moving goalpost with this topic.

I truly believe that they will shut it down for 3 months soon. We will be back next year.

Good luck folks

90 day shutdown starts on October 16.

ILOs will be handed out that day and those individuals will be walked outnon the spot as it will be the last day the plant will be open for 3 months.

They will continue to be paid for 60 days even though they are not working in the plant.

Everyone that still has a job will return mid January 2021, just in time for the next ILO at the end of the month Jan 2021.

May the odds be in your favor.

Been spoken of twice on here, the last time by me because I didn't scroll down to find the first one. I still think they are considering it, i think it depends on a few factors, how many took the VLO and what they decide about consolidating. If they do it will save them alot of money by not having to pay us over the Christmas break. Time will tell.
