Thread regarding Comcast layoffs

How is Verizon able to pay their techs and customer service $50-$60 an hour and we can’t barely make $25?

It’s no wonder these people feel sorry for us.

The uneducated part is kinda funny since it’s all inhouse training from leadership. So it sounds like your saying upper leadership who makes all the decisions that went to college is where the problem is. Let’s get to the root of the issue, not a bandaid. Also what does that say about all our contractors from Ukraine that are supposedly in a war Atleast from what the mainstream says. Man, that comment says so much more than I think was intended. Techs at Comcast are literally the entire front line. Corporate says deferent but customers have us come out just to fix college educated leaderships outsourced decisions. Even when it’s just to fix an account issue no tools, buckets, ladders, or gaffing needed.

CWA can make it happen for you. I left Comcast a long time ago and will never work a low wage job again. You just need to band together.

If Comcast cared about techs, there would be no contractors.

If Comcast cared about customer service, there would be no outsourcing.

If Comcast cared about you, they would pay you $50/hour and give you real healthcare.

Seriously, this is already well known and doesn’t need to be discussed.

Good luck getting a union, too. The techs will always go against their best interests.

@3wwm+1q0f322G Yeah…..no. It’s corporate bs to make you feel important when really they consider you expendable. Blah, blah, blah!

Comcast cares…. about money, not you.

Comcast standing on the shoulders of techs (who built the company) alludes to a metaphor To Stand on the Shoulders of Giants- To make discoveries, insights, or progress owing to the discoveries or previous work of great minds that have come before. I think the post was in defense of techs due to @3zqn+1q0f322G sh---y and condescending comment.

@3ptu+1q0f322G That’s the biggest load of corporate cr-p I’ve ever heard. We all know Comcast isn’t a place for a career as a tech or in customer service.

To: 3zqn+1q0f322G, Comcast Corp stands on the shoulders of those techs you just disrespected. FU.

Techs don’t deserve anything for their uneducated, non-skilled work. If they want better pay and benefits they should go to college. If not then they deserve as little as we can give them legally.

It’s because they’re heavily unionized. Our techs are too scared to do it.

Verizon has many customers compared to Comcast. And Verizon has many many project compared to Comcast. Verizons revenues are much greater then Comcast. Therefore, Verizon can afford to pay more to their employees. You should think about switching jobs if you want to be paid more then your current wage.
