Do we think UHG/Optum/UHC will go the way of other companies and govt and start doing more RTO or hybrid? Being nationwide I can see this being an issue. It could be a backhanded way if they do of getting people to quit.

@3we
Good morning sleepy head. A lot has happened while you were snoozing.
@3we this did not age well.
Not as long as Witty is in charge. Supposedly, Dirk was really pushing for return to office and didn’t get his way so he retired
This the one thing UHG gets right. Have not set foot in office for decade. Leaders dont want to be in office and most work with people across multiple time zones so return to office makes no sense for most employees. Real estate expensive so eliminate it
Won’t happen. Leaders are not coming in either so they won’t implement policies that if legally challenged, they are not abiding by it. They tried to bring everyone back but until the leaders are forced to come in, nothing will be done. I would say however, UHG always target remote workers for forced reduction. No state WARN requirements to meet. Easy to layoff remote workers. If you haven’t physically seen someone in the office and you’re rating below 4; start your resume updates. They will come for you.
Alot of offices closed leaving scattered satellite offices that can never accommodate full staff
There’s not enough real estate to require everyone to return to office. Those of us who currently work a hybrid model don’t even have desks that are ours.
Anyone who’s currently in office less than 3 days/week for like 6 months have to “reserve” a desk somewhere in office, and this just launched last year. They’re not going to absorb the real estate costs required to bring everyone back.
"can you boomers/zoomers stop using acronyms? just spell out return to office its not that hard"

no need for office when all the work is offshore
I think they are trying to lay off and fire everyone so they can rehire new people later that will go to the office to work. Because as it stands right now, there is severe pushback from RTO. So the solution would be to get rid of everyone and hire within footprint.
Or any office they have around the country. They have small satellite offices many places.
Minnesota?? Dibs on Brian Thompson’s old digs
with all the real estate consolidation in Minnesota, i dont think they would have enough desks.
