Finance is Aramco's ugly step child. Some areas are better than others, and I'll give you my opinion about the different departments.
Controllers and Treasury. I lump them together because I think they are both uniformly cheap and dysfunctional, and some teams are downright toxic. Culturally, Controllers tends toward micromanagement while Treasury is more capricious, but both have high turn over and I would not recommend either of them.
Corporate Planning (they call themselves S&MA these days) has some better teams, but some are really dysfunctional. I hear that its getting worse, just like the rest of Aramco.
Don't know much about Investor Relations or Internal Auditing, so I can't really help.
There is a new department called Finance Development and Support. It contains the leftovers from some really high turnover divisions. Management is the same as when that turn over happened, so I don't really recommend this department either.
If current or past hires can post about the different business lines, it would probably help those considering a job. There might be some decent places left at Aramco to work, but I would be cautious unless you know people already employed there. Also, if you apply for one job but HR calls you about another, I think this is a red flag, especially in Finance.
