@6ept+1bzy8LJN Classic!
Just a disposable tool to enhance the career of a local.
But by the sound of it he'll be working his way to suck up to someone else, otherwise game over.

No one is safe. I know one expat who used to be manager's pet and did everything to please him, he produced fake documents to get good OE scores to make his manager shine.... Guess What....manager changed and new one brought his own pets and discarded him, now a days, he cannot even perform in his own discipline.

4 Legs,

I only hope Ansar-Allah didn't close their side of the communication with an Inshallah...

You will have your Schadenfreude, for sure. A full two-way communication with Ansar-Allah is completed already.

@3syh+1bzy8LJN tell me about it. One big project in the department where I worked was based on the "genius" idea of a PDP (really pushed by a subcontinental rectal osculator endowed with a "prestigious" western passport) who happened to have wasta (in this case the son of a higher up). Like this one I heard of so many in other faciities.

The thing is the project was expensive and unnecessary and at least the time I left it was still under contruction and had to be carried on regardless instead of cutting losses short.

I wish only to live long enough to see the final fruits of Saudization for the sake of Schaedenfreude.

Considering that every project executed in the past 15 years has been a failure it’s not surprising there’s no capex. Of course the PMT expats that are taking the fall when the problem is the massive corruption by Saudis but that’s Aramco

PMT is on the chopping board, 15-20 layoffs this week, more coming.. ..
NO CAPEX due to dividend comitments with the big brother

IMO yes. Expats in business oriented support roles as opposed to those in upstream. Ask yourself, does the role in question require any special skills and/or experience? How hard would it be to train or replace this position with a local or another hired expat? The more talent, skills, experience the harder to replace. Still adheres to the laws of supply and demand.
