Thread regarding Broadcom Corp. layoffs

"The transaction will close soon, but in any event prior to the expiration of their merger agreement"

what does this mean?
Is Broadcom saying the deal will definitely close by nov 26th?

Except they don’t know what that Christmas date is. Nov 26 was earlier merger agreement date. Are they changing it? No idea

The last and final outside date have been Nov26 (their Christmas date) if I understand their statement right they still believe, one way or the other they will be able to close anyway before Nov 26, At least that is the legal term.

Will they be able to actually close it, only Tan and China knows(Wish I could say God Knows, apparently he was kept out of the loop).

Now, as for Oct 30 close, they were targeting earlier, well it was convenient for them, Wouldn't have to maintain 2 different sets of books, they could do with 1 set of books, that is Broadcom.

By no means I was suggesting there will not be 2 sets, but you get the picture, when they start to calm quarterly, annual numbers, they can represent them all as Broadcom numbers.
