Belk company knows that if a company offers an employee making $12.00 and hour and a fifty cent raise that company will not be around much longer. They know that you know and everyone on the earth knows the ugly truth about cheap salary at Belk. Top crooked executive leaders at Belk would love to know and see how much and how many stupid, deceivable, gullible, exploitable, naive, wide-eyed Belk nice workers willing to put up with all the abusive tactics and how cheap the Belk workers needed the job at Belk company before they really declare liquidation and close all Belk retail stores!
If a company offers an employee making $12 an hour a fifty cent raise, that company will not be around much longer. No reputable company would pay someone $12 an hour in 2022 in this economic climate. Plain and simple.

"An STM is making around $42k while some store managers are making on average $85k-$120k doing half or none of the work in some cases. Something is really wrong with this picture, especially the bonus which is paid to store manager if you steal hours from the employees. Literally the manager is making money off the backs of the associates by cutting hours!"

Belk is paying way below the industry standard and they know it, but don't care. Perhaps the know what the future for the company holds, or maybe they know there is no future for this debt- ridden company. My daughter who is only 19 was able to make $15 at PGA Tour Superstore in Charlotte as entry level clerk, yet Belk is paying $12 for seasonal while long term associates are making $10. What a complete and total joke.

Belk top executive leaders are so stupid and never understand the basic common reason for Belk workers to stay is that “Happy workers are Productive workers”. Belk company can pay or raise salary to $16/hour or more and people still leave because a slave sweatshop like Belk for lack of better word is still a sweatshop retail store!
