Simplot laid off multiple employees in the month of April 2025. There was absolutely no notice period. The reason given was organizational changes.

@3mv .... it's probably Simplot's worst kept secret, and it's definitely not a rumor. Simplot is indeed laying off personnel to free up cash flow to satisfy banks/creditors before a planned leveraged buyout of a European agri-business company.
They are Ruining the lives of common people. Miserable middle management, stuck in their roles hoping for a promotion. I don’t know how these people can look at themselves in the mirror.

They appear to be doing layoff is groups of 49 every month to avoid having to report
49 laid off in April, 49 in May, and I suspect 49 in June, maybe more in July.
Rumor has it they are trying to free up cash flow to purchase a European food company. I guess we will know soon if those rumors are founded or not.
