Grass Kmart valley closing next week without liquidation. Yay it close soon and I be happy. I know someone relies on paychecks to pay there rents and bill but I want close now.

It happens. Once you load this page into a browser, it doesn't continuously update, so both of us happened to see the same article and post it at the same time. Anyway, the important part is that the store is liquidating over two months, contrary to what the original post claims.

This news article says the store will close on December 19, which will be a typical liquidation schedule. It also says Target will replace it.

Can anyone show proof that they are NOT having a liquidation? When the Bronx store closed abruptly they only showed job postings for rack removal....not temp cashiers, etc.
I’m pretty sure they liquidation sales have stopped because all that is left in any Kmart is garbage that nobody would pay for anyway. Why pay for anything at a Kmart when even at 90% off anything there is still outdated junk? The only winners out of the rest of the closings will be Waste Management and I’m sure they’ll get stiffed by Fast Eddie. Hopefully if anything useful in left in the stores it can can be donated to someone in need.

If they don't liquidate the store, where would they ship the merchandise to? Montana? Guam? One of the remaining Sears stores in California?
Unfortunately, it looks like the last Kmart on the West Coast is closing. Rather than putting up a new job posting, they updated the job postings from 10/06/21 to mention "Store Closing." It mentions nothing about not having a liquidation sale.
