Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Ford should require the vaccine now that it's FDA approved.

The only way we are going to get this virus under some kind of control is if employers mandate it.

This is an excerpt from Science Magazine:

"The natural immune protection that develops after a SARS-CoV-2 infection offers considerably more of a shield against the Delta variant of the pandemic coronavirus than two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, according to a large Israeli study that some scientists wish came with a “Don’t try this at home” label. The newly released data show people who once had a SARS-CoV-2 infection were much less likely than never-infected, vaccinated people to get Delta, develop symptoms from it, or become hospitalized with serious COVID-19."

I'll go the natural way (actually, I already had).

Thanks

Dude listen to HR and the empty suits when they tell you who they are and what they are about. Watch the body language and see and hear what they are saying. The fixation with BCG/Bain continues. There will be more de-layering and replacing workers with lower cost options. This is planned to continue for years.
Put on your listening caps. The agenda is reduce people costs.

The name of the game is how do you get voluntary attrition from your mid-high cost people. Mandate return to work, change office location, require the jab, etc. HR has these conversations and has presented plans on how to nudge people out the door.

Oh but you say this is nuts, everyone knows that one great employee contributes more than 50 other employees, and the rotten employees contribute negatively.
Oh but you would be so wrong, HR and Bain will tell you all workers are interchangeable, ergo keep only the cheapest, and swap them out every 5-10 years.

Oh but you say why the fixation on removing of tiers when there are entire columns (silos) that should be removed (redundant, provide no value). Oh but HR and Bain input what the management teams saying they are doing, not what they are actually doing, garbage in garbage out. And we all know that the only time management layers cooperate is to protect their own hides, so they were Uber cooperative when providing input to Bain to steer the outcomes.

As always if HR can keep people focused on infighting they don’t see the bigger picture.

Ok rant over, go back to the regularly scheduled infighting.

On yesterday’s White House briefing, Jen Psaki actually called it the PLAN demic. It’s on tape.

Oh! Excuse me! I didn't know you WERE a scientist. Please state your credentials, the data and the studies proving your points. Until then, you are another anonymous commenter trying to make waves. Talk to the hand.

Thanks

Global Town Hall - you believe everything they tell you but you don't believe scientists? Now that is amusing.

Trust me - mandatory vaccs/healthcare cost hits are coming to Ford based on well placed sources.

@3nfw+1ctv64tS "Mandatory jabs are coming!"

Maybe you were in a different Global Town Hall than me. In the one I attended today, it was said that Ford has not made a decision to mandate vaccination, except certain positions that travel internationally.

BTW, the part where Kiersten said "There is not one single safety protocol that is going to solve all or prevent you from getting the virus" and then show the "cheese" picture, is actually true. Vaccines are not the silver bullet against Covid-19, and some of us are better by getting our natural immunity from the real virus.

CDC is already talking about a booster shot because the vaccine protection is waning. Even as they said the protection would last at least a year, and probably 2-3 years, we are now hearing differently. At the same time there is an study showing that natural immunity to SARS lasts 17 years (and counting). There is still a LOT to learn about Covid-19 and our immune response.

Not all of us are ready for natural immunity, and for many people out there the vaccines are the SAFEST option. I am glad that people are getting the jab (by their own initiative). However, don't come in a panic attack, spreading half baked lies and empty threats, trying to force the jab on me or other people that chose not to get the vaccines.

What is the best for you is NOT necessarily the best for me. Based on age, gender, lack of comorbidity factors and a trained immune system, I have more chances of suffering myocarditis, pericarditis, Bell's palsy or any other nasty side effect than to die from Covid-19. FYI, I had Covid1-19 last year; symptoms lasted less than a day. Why would I want to risk anything with a vaccine?

Thanks

Mandatory jabs are coming! If you refuse - you will need weekly testing and your health benefits will be impacted.

All major companies are moving in this direction - Delta will charge you an additional $250 per month for your benefits if you do not comply.

Get ready - FDA approval just changed the game!!

@2dds+1ctv64tS "No vaccine, no problem, no treatment"

Well, make sure the government reduces my taxes accordingly (because I don't need all the Covid-19 treatments, reliefs or subsidies) and we have a deal! Until then, please keep handy your shrink's phone number.

Thanks

2dds+1ctv64tSn is a loon. So I shouldn’t be part of society if I don’t get a jab that isn’t even deemed safe/effective for the long term (because how can it with no long term testing being done)? Sounds like those who willingly accept the jab are the ones with the issues. Bunch of sheep who are willing to give up freedoms for no solid reason. Sounds like this guy has the attitude “comply or else”
Where else does this sound like??

To all the "anti-science, anti vaxers", how about if we compromise?
You don't need to get the vaccine, and hospitals can require proof of vaccination for anyone over 18 who is trying to get treatment for COVID symptoms. No vaccine, no problem, no treatment. If you don't want to be part of society, stay out.

@2nmn+1ctv64tS So I should get a vaccine that hasn’t been fully tested for long term affects in order to “think about someone other than myself” that could damage my body in the long run? That’s some messed up logic right there.

You get the vaccine to prevent unnecessary hospitalization so that the ICU beds are available for those who really need them. Also, kids under 12 still can't get the vaccine, so you stop the spread from getting to them. It is really quite simple. Think about someone besides yourself for once.

It is very disturbing that there are so many on this board who thinks that the government/employers should be able to dictate what we put in our bodies. This is absolute insanity.

@1rlp+1ctv64tS you do realize you can go get the vaccine anywhere for free and keep it a secret if your family and friends are a bunch of knuckle dragging anti-vaxers. You should not be risking your life because of the sheer stupidity of others. Get yourself vaccinated on the down low. Nobody needs to know. Good Lord!

I totally agree with the OP. I’m a white male with roots in Alabama, living and working in MI for years now, and I’m afraid to admit in public that Vaccine is the right choice because of my family and peer pressure , yet I strongly believe that I should get the vaccine. If Ford mandates the vaccine, it will provide me a good excuse to get vaccinated with face saving! Bill please make at a must or fire those who don’t get it.

So let me get this straight, I need to get the vaccine to prevent people who already have the vaccine from getting the virus?

How does someone become a troll that recommends the vaccine to employees and that the employer requires it? Should be arguing about far more important things than this. This should just be done.

The vaccine doesn’t eradicate the virus. But okay bro, whatever you say
