Think about it. All the hundreds and hundreds who aren't sitting in a building right now. BCG could push this one for savings. Rent, heat, ac, water, coffee and snacks, furniture. Even chairs cost a couple hundred each. Austin execs still cling to power of assigning seats. $$$$ Rule, home workers are obvious savings.

@3idi, too little too late. Employees are not motivated so they will do as little work as possible from home. Enough work to just keep their job
I agree with @OP. Reducing physical footprint can have huge savings. I've heard in Europe there are hundreds of buildings with Resideo employees. Why? Just consolidate and have the rest work from home. IBM has had 50% of their workforce working from home for over a decade and have been successful. The same can be done in the US if done right.
This problem started YEARs ago....thats why Honeywell dumped you. The gamer dudes and their lack of a clue and inability to execute ANYTHING or identify talent accelerated the demise. Hate to say it and not being negative...im being realistic. you have a better change of winning Lotto, being struck by lightening AND being hit with a train all at the exact same instant as you do turning this disaster around. Good luck and make sure you make the money last as long as possible.
Yes, Resideo has big problems, but your toxicity isn't helping. Quit if you don't like it or help get this company out of the mess it's in (you are getting paid arent you?). Thats what good leadership is. A turn around story is never easy and its brutal on the workforce everyone recognizes that. BCG are chainsaw consultants but they did not cause this mess, poor management at the executive level did. The previous P&S team and his "gaming buddies" do not know how to run a business. There are millions of companies that struggle due to poor management but there are also many who recover through sheer hard work. Use your time to find ways you can help Resideo or just take your efforts somewhere else. The previous P&S team lacks tactfulness but not everyone in Austin is the same. This company opened an HQ in Austin as many other have (Google, Apple, Amazon, Adobe, etc). Stop the negativity and become productive, we have seen many layoffs too.
Yup everyone that does not show up at work is considered expandable. Except in Austin .

This is a drop in the bucket. I commend you posting this. The company is dying and much like Corona infections it gets worse everyday. It would be like getting shot in the chest with a shotgun and offering the victim a bandaid....too little, too late
