As a person who was laid off by Cerner pre Oracle acquisition, it was evident that Cerner never understood how data was to be structured so it could leveraged in a meaningful data model. I was hopeful Oracle would clean house more than what they have to this point. There were a lot of really good people who followed orders even as it was moving them off the cliff. As someone who understands data, risk management and how to assimilate information into knowledge, it is easy to see why the wheels came off and stayed off. They have very little clue on how population health should work. Sad. Many of the right people were there just never leveraged. Am I disgruntled? Nope. The ignorance was ki-ling me.
Too many good employees that Oracle needs are the ones that the insecure greedy corrupt mid level mgmt lays off because they are smarter, younger, work hard and know what they are doing, Mid level mgmt gives the best employees to competitors. Lucky for them that get to move on to greener pastures,
They won't have to lay anybody off in large numbers. #NoFocals, retirement of the aging US based workforce and attrition of the younger employees will take care of those numbers for them.
15000 layoffs over the year predicted.
Just back of the envelope math.
I guess it just sux2bu@oracle.com
Maybe big cuts coming soon.
