Just wondering if the whole corporate split and chaos was worth it.

Is it 25% in the States too?
Layoffs this week globally at Aternity, big numbers here in the states - at least 25% from the International division too. Rumor the VP of International has been swanning round with his lapdog on business expenses across the globe while the numbers have been dropping. Not looking good for them. Number low here too considering the head count high with some big salarymen that moved over from Riverbed but not justifying their wage. More heads to roll. #one-trick-pony
When I brought my laptop up to the IT desk to have them look at a problem, the first thing he did was bring up his aternity admin console to start looking at things. The IT guy was a sharp guy too so maybe he finds use of it. Just an anecdote, otherwise i dont work with the product.
Riverbed does use Aternity, whether it’s IT life altering, is another matter. If the goal is Aternity is not knowing it’s being used but is optimizing my work day, the great! If it has been shelfwared and simply deployed because IT has to, well, that’s too bad.
I’ve had many issues with my laptop, various apps and SaaS apps but I still find myself submitting IT tickets all the time. The promise of proactive monitoring and remediation doesn’t seem to be the case.
I like to know how Riverbed is using Aternity. I just don’t see it.
Unfortunately for Aternity, Zscaler just announced user experience within their platform. I’ve seen it demod and whilst not same features entirely it has some excellent advantages. Can compare experience between other Zscaler customers ( anonymised ) for example.
Am sure that will bring stiff competition particularly from orgs using Zscaler already.
Another revenue stream for Zscaler too
Out of runway. Who knows what's going to happen in a year
Good times ahead at Aternity. We need a year to turn this around, and have TB blessings. come join us.
Give Aternity a year before we start assessing performance. The split probably hit some reset button that will allow for this so the first year is all pipe building.
Personally speaking, security agents will always have priority when it comes to laptop and mobile security - productivity agents can come after security has all their ducks in a row. Problem there is that some of these security agents can do a lot more, some stuff that overlaps with Aternity so it may be a hard close for sales. Good tech though, let’s just hope the apps delivered through browsers doesn’t undergo a major overhaul where Aternity and Microsoft would be running blind.
Aternity is middle-wear no enterprise really needs, but TB is dressing her up to sell to some id–t company so Riverbed can finally move on to a better place.
Q3 was terrible. No growth yoy.. was expected to double the previous year number .
What kind of numbers (revenue and headcount change) did Aternity do in Q3?
I wish them well but the silence is deafening.
Who left?
Sleeping...
No layoffs necessary, people leave regularly on their own.
Was a good qtr, morale up. We can do better independent.
Great, the team had a wonderful quarter and Q4 looks even better!!!
