@3br severance is determined by law not tcs. I’ll be contacting a lawyer if and when they terminate me to ensure I get my full severance
I am deeply saddened and shocked by the decision from TCS regarding my termination. I did not expect such an outcome, especially without any prior notice or warning for what I believe was a minor issue.
Regarding the Proprietary Information, Confidentiality, and Non-Solicitation agreement mentioned in the termination email, I want to clarify that I have not violated any of these policies. The only instance was an inadvertent mention of a client name in a press article, which I immediately corrected by taking down the article as soon as I was informed. I sincerely regret any oversight, but terminating my employment without notice or severance for such an issue feels extremely harsh.
This sudden decision has placed me in a very difficult situation. As an H1B visa holder, I now have only 60 days to secure new employment, or I will be forced to leave the United States. This not only affects me but also disrupts my family’s stability, including my children’s education
Was on the bench for 2 weeks but finally allocated now. RMG staff are useless and incompetent as mentioned before... they need to fired first.
I was on the bench for six weeks when I got the call. I had been there for just over 3 years, and got 4 weeks of severance. The "alumni" portal doesn't work very well.

Yes, TCS pays severance payment when you laid off, I was working for TCS for last four years and as little as three weeks on bench time and received a call from HR regarding my employment termination; if you are on bench then start looking for some other job as RMG will not help any.
starting a year ago, they started giving bench people 1-3 weeks max to get ona. project, people past 2 months been saying they getting laid off even when finding project so not sure how it works. Ive also heard no severance
You are expecting too much from a employer who offers the lowest billing rates to MNC clients in USA and Europe and whose fundamental Business model is all about leveraging exploitative employment tactics on skilled freshers in India by paying them a apltry annual salary of 2000 US dollars. ( Small time taxi driver and auto rickshaw driver earn more than software engineers in India)
