Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Audit Town hall

so they want everyone in audit to tune in for the townhall meeting to discuss the org changes and the way forward.

But so far all these townhall meetings they have been saying the samething. Wondering if there will be cuts in IA given that they eliminated PBWM leadership, changes with ICG and LF

Yea it won't only be low performers. I do think it will be a mixture. Plus Nadir mentioned aggregated roles as the focus. But of course not sure if that's the only focus. They already know the amount of layoffs and which areas just won't say right now

It makes people feel better to believe that its only low performers. It makes people feel safer, when in fact the selection criteria can be wide and varying which is a more scary realization.

@3apu+1oIvTJVn I doubt it will only be low performers. All those people from the earlier cuts were not low performers.

Hopefully it will be low performers. I got 2/2 last year so hopefully will be safe

It's true about the dinosaurs who are SVP, Director, MDs, etc. who've been at Citi Internal Audit for 10+ years. They know who's boots to lick and play the games well. I know Internal Audit ex-employees who only worked there 2-3 years and got RIFed Reduction in Force as the Layoff terminology is called. They got axed because they didn't know who's boots to lick compared to the dinosaurs.

IA. They cause more problems than they solve.

@1eny+1oIvTJVn makes sense - adherence to the hybrid model which is very generous has been a huge issue. Ppl fail to understand that originating IPs where someone logs in via VPN can be easily logged and match merged against badge swipe data. Ppl out of compliance are low hanging fruit and could easily be JD'd. they have been given ample warning

@1eny+1oIvTJVn Low performers I get but people that recently joined? Its the worthless dinosaurs that are sitting in VP, SVP, Director etc for 10,15 years that need to go if this place wants to see any real progress.

It's my understanding there will be cuts but they will try to limit it - they will probably try to go after low perofmers and people that recently joined - i've heard this from multiple people so it may turn out to be true

Yea they didn't say much as expected. It looks like there will be lots of layoffs across the bank including IA. Their just trying to keep people working until that day comes where they meet with you and let you go

Have attended several town hall meetings. Nothing has been provided except vague info. The question employees want to know is if they will have a job or not. The rest is noise

They mentioned employees will be impacted and will try their best to be transparent and have empathy.

They haven't mentioned anything as expected. Just that they believe in the changes and what the focus is.

Hopefully all of IA is fired. What a joke of a a profession. They do nothing but create the very issues that justify their own existence.

Nothing more worthless than IA except maybe HR themselves.

There were some people saying that they don't think so especially since many IA teams are short staffed already.

Yes, there will be cuts. Do you think this is limited to everyone outside of IA? Don’t be stupid!!
