Agree with other comments...there are much better places to work. It was a toxic before GD arrived but he took it to a whole new level that just flat out centered around greed.

Endless reorganization of the company/divisions/teams...

Layoff roulette year after year...

Would you enjoy that?

Selfish individuals put extra hours & give false sense of success using qualstars/ next level promos...

unfortunately these sloggers are given leadership roles & they measure performance in terms of #hours engineers work.

Good engineers are made to work on multiple projects that the slogger-lead projects as an efficient way to save money...

Qualcomm was successful in building a toxic work culture... where-in engineers only gain bad experience, no life beyond work & expertise that nobody cares/understands in the industry...

@2obu: I can confirm your observation. I am a living proof of happiness after Qualcomm. I was forced to quit in 2015, I thought I won't be able to find a place on par with Qualcomm or San Diego. I was able to find a better company within one month of my exit, 30% salary increase, huge sign on bonus and annual performance bonuses that I have never received at Qualcomm. I have been promoted recently to a manager.

My life has improved ten fold after I left Qualcomm. I still have RSUs from Qualcomm that I am planning to sell, so I come here on the layoffs occasionally to see what is happening and to sense the best time to sell.

Qualcomm was the worst employer I have had in my career. Bad managers, terrible HR department, and the list goes on. I tell people to stay away from that terrible place.

Nearly everyone I know who left Q in the last few years ended up happier and better paid.

Seems the pressure pressure pressure environment around the Q is all part of the so called work-life balance. Meetings at all hours. Weekend works. Laughable deadlines.
