@4zv hard to say the result would decide the layoff, since we have seen so many company likes ZIESS or tech company in America, layoff with beyond expectations result.
@4zj we still need to wait after Q4 results announcements. Usually the decision is made based on these results

So we are in Jan end and no announcement..no more layoff just hope for it

S&D area will have reorg starting 2026 Q1 and run through end 2026. Smaller locations closed in 2025 - more will close 2026. Anyone in those locations have 50/50 chance of let go. US, CA, and UK were targeted 2025 - likely same thing 2026
If the layoff plan is attractive it will be the end of OnPrem at SAP.
Engineers are tired, fed up of working hard to maintain product with (much) less resources and receiving no recognition or even worse more pressure.
So if an opportunity occurs everybody will take it and jump out of the sinking OnPrem boat
Massive layoffs to be expected - especially if Q4 does not deliver. I suspect up to 15,000 (see how I did that - they will hire in India for the new campus there) and attribute it to gains from AI so it doesn't look like a desperation move. If that does not goose the stock price, then CK is out and TS is in. Massive congratulations to the board for their leadership, bonuses all around. It takes 8 - 24 months to see the impact of the last round of layoffs and that is what SAP is experiencing now. It was a massive talent drain with lots of talented people let go.
@cz Nah, DA is not CEO material. He has been brought in mainly for the layoffs.
TS is being groomed for the CEO role. This also has some problems, but is not as bad as DA.

@a1 exactly - less focus on core ERP, more pressure on LoBs and they’ll right size to fit that.
Expect the whole LoB sales role will taper off too - too many people getting paid for a deal.
One last thought: I would be far from surprised if 2026 is (At some point), the end of SAP road for for CK, with the possibilty of DA being elevated to the big job. It’ll be a disaster.
They’ll do a version of what they did a couple of years: Distract everyone with an early - mid January announcement of a full RTO.
Then on the eve of the 2025 results analysts calls, we’ll get the email from CK informing us of the success of their strategy and need to further evolve SAP’s workforce. My wild guess around the number of layoffs is 12K.
There will be no mention of any failure of leadership, strategy or that the rudimentary competency and ethics of the board and upper- management has led the company to where it is!
There will be layoffs simply because CK and DA have no clue what else to do to push the share price up.
Rumors are that the works council will link their agreement to some measures management wants, and where they need WC approval, to a prolongation of the „no layoffs in Germany“ agreement. About time they show some mettle.
I heard that reorganization is ongoing now, which will possibly leads to layoffs in 2026 Q1.
The big digital transformations deals are drying up, so yes expect a contracting workforce which mirrors contracting deals.
