Most of the new products are coming directly from China. Refrigerators, Front Load washer, combos, small appliances. There is no new investment but only try to catch in the brand value that is left. Whirlpool would be left as a brand but products made outside the US soon at this pace.

Whirlpool stock as of 2029-01-28 is looking really bad. I wouldn't be surprised if more layoffs come this year.

@35v agree 100%. When I was laid off, they used this same excuse. I dont think the company has any idea what they are saying. I dont get how cutting head count creates "more autonomous business units". I also dont see how it benefit customers. The only thing that benefits headcount is cost savings to the company and providing a higher bonus to leadership.

@35p Bizter doesn't know anything other than "cut headcount"

If you look at the stock from when he took over to today he has severely devalued the company. IDK how he still has a job.

I have no idea but wouldn't be surprised. Bitzer is ki-ling this company. I was laid off from this company in April of last year, they just did another round a few months ago. At this rate, I wouldnt be surprised.

I also love how they put a positive spin on these layoffs. "To provide more autonomous business units for our customers". I have no idea what the he-l that means and I bet they dont either.

What really ticks me off is, as a part of my severance package, im supposed to get a prorated bonus. Come to find out, NAR, which is the region my bonus would be tied to, is looking at a $0 bonus, again! That would be 2 years in a row where they sc--w their employees while the senior management and C Suite walk away with their bonuses.
