@355 hands-on? Like in hardware?
Managers might attempt to get into a hands on position. I have seen that before in other companies.
@13t finally a comment on this site which actually makes sense !!!
There are only two possible notifications.
1) Notice that you aren't being picked up by HPE. It will be delivered to you via your Manager and/or HR. You will be told what your severance details are and what termination date is, which will be no later than Nov 1.
-- These will go out prior to offer letters going out.
-- Expect them around first two weeks of September.
2) Notification of an Offer Letter. It will be delivered to your juniper.net email.
-- These are going out during the last two weeks of September.
@10c we better be worried if our manager or director has not said anything or provide any updates.
@10c I think this wholly depends on department and upper management therein, honestly.
there is zero chance you will get no notification. plus at this stage, you should have a feeling on where you stand, honestly. at least that's how i am experiencing it.
sept 22 for us employees
@j2 almost certainly
Will severance include the 60 day WARN period?
@h3 going off the employee FAQ which says pro-rated bonus will be given if terminated...
@gv Read the room, man.
Will pro-rated bonus be included with severance?
@df In U.S.: Labor 9 and below, 3 months plus 1 month if here longer than 15 years
Labor Grades 10 and 11, 4 months plus one for >15 years
Plus one time $2,000 for Cobra
What would be the severance? They’re tight lipped on details
all this total doom talk.
do the math... $500M in synergies means a 2-3% reduction, that's the yearly average across high tech, anyhow.
as to the original question - read the d#mn resources page. everybody should know when ED1 starts in USA. i'd expect this means the offer letters come out sometime in Sept, but that's just my guess to give people the usual 8 weeks to plan.
I believe the FAQ said there would be severance but of course no details were provided.
@c9 Juniper never had a 1 month per year severance package (In USA)
@ab That's the unanswered question... no letter = no job, what is the severance? Is it a way to avoid layoff package? No ERP because no letter is cheaper. No one month per year severance because no letter is cheaper way to dump employees? That Elliot hatchet Fu@% now on the board must represent pressure to cut costs and recoup 14b investment ASAP.
Nope not yet for me. Be prepared for the scenario where you don’t receive one.
Sometime in September for most based on what’s been communicated so far.
