What’s behind the quick dismissal of DG? And what happens to the USAA prodigies, aka the Price Is Right models?

I saw it on a Glassdoor review, that's where it came from. Certainly agree that this continues to remain the hub for NM drama discussions, especially as Blind and Glassdoor require verification using your company email.
reading is fine but think twice before posting on those two other platforms. they are heavily watched and not nearly as anonymous as they seem. fishbowl especially - ever since glassdoor bought it they've been connecting those two and pushing bowl posts to their main site. one slip in a bowl post, one overshare on glassdoor and you mihgt be easier to trace than you think.
@30w mind sharing the forum you saw this in?
I checked Blind and Glassdoor Bowls and have not seen the post you mentioned
NM is truly the star of the layoff show. If there were an award for being the most active in the layoff channel, I’m sure theLayoff.com would be rolling out the red carpet for TG & JES. Bravo to NM!!!
Blind and Glassdoor Bowls are the two I know of.
Please share, these are fun reading
Wait. There are other NM sh-t talk forums??
So someone posted on another forum that DG did choose to resign, but it was because TG wanted to slim down tech's org chart and make some changes. Part of that was going to be making all remote employees move to Milwaukee, including all of DG's friends who are outside of New York, or else people were going to lose their jobs and not be replaced as part of the slimming.
As much as DG's ladies have helped, much like when they came from USAA to NM, they will likely follow him wherever he goes. DG will have no problem finding a new gig in this economy focused on downsizing and lowering costs and they will be there to help him.
There was and continues to be colossal waste in the tech dept. I’m not saying that it’s every team but there is a ridiculous amount of redundancy and millions spent on band aiding legacy solutions until the next leader comes in to ‘transform’ NM data, client portals, field tools, HO desktop… topic du jour. I’ll agree DG seemed to be headed in the right direction resolving this…
Maybe centralize the teams and there won’t be these issues? In tech and there are talented people who haven’t had real work due to adversarial leaders fighting over scraps. Additionally, people talk about not having the talent… 90% of these critical projects need one person who has done it before to lead and then a few support roles to learn / develop talent. Instead every dipsh-t and their mom is looped in, and the biggest barrier becomes staying aligned and proving your relevance.
TG should have been thanking DG for emptying the IT dumpster. No one who left was worth a dime. The models should stay.
tg was concerned w/ all of the leadership turnover under him.
