So, for those of you employed with the company and aren't vaccinated, what are you going to do now? The time has come where the company is requiring you to show your proof of vaccination. The email arrived today with the instructions on what we all have to do now.

Question is what will Macy*s do? Mandate there own policy? Wait for other companies to make their decisions? We already reduced hours with covid issues. The shot wont prevent you from getting it but does reduce the severity for your own health. Except you would be off for 10 days.

I'm also curious if we still have to fess up our vaccine status to Macy's now that Joe's mandate is in the garbage can. I've been waiting to do mine. Deadline is still tomorrow. I think I'll wait to see what happens and if I get a phone call from somebody or if this is all done for now, as it should be.
So the mandate is officially nixed by the Supreme Court for businesses. What do you think Macy's will do?

Goodness how dense are some of you!!?? No one has ever said we won’t get COVID if we get vaccinated!!! Your chances of severe illness and death are reduced UNLESS you have underlying conditions. Those that are not vaccinated are breeding grounds for variants that will keep this going on and on.
There are many unvaccinated people whom truly are not against being vaccinated but simply do not want to be forced to do it because The belief is they don’t know what COVID or the vaccine is doing and are doing clinical trials. We never should have stopped masking, social distancing and sanitizing once vaccinations started.
I'll remind everyone who is smug about being vaccinated and hopeful about all the unvaccinated being penalized with possible job loss because of it ... Think about what is going to happen to your work environment when these people are suspended or fired.... What's going to happen to YOUR workload- you going to be the only person on your floor for an 8 hour day? ; to your store that may barely be hanging on, is this the final nail in the coffin for closure next year? And when all the unvaxxed are gone and you and your colleagues are STILL getting COVID and have to be out? Then what?
I am vaccinated and boosted and I do not fear those unvaccinated. Shame on you if you do to the point you wish bad things for them. Karma's coming, baby.
We're all divided from people spreading Misinformation on both sides about these vaccines. Doesn't help that the Mainstream News doesn't correct themselves and are more based on opinions. I got Covid 19 in May 2020 while doing my best to follow CDC guidelines. July 2021 I received my second shot. Couple of weeks ago (Christmas week) I got Covid again. Guessing it was the Omicron Variant. I got this from my Brother that was also Vaccinated where he got it from his kids that were also vaccinated. IN NO WAY I'm stating this to convince people to not get the vaccines. I strongly suggest to the people that are QUESTIONING to get these vaccines to consult with their Doctor/Physician to ASK questions. We shouldn't persecute each other on VAX Status even thought the government and MS News pushes us to choose a side. For the person that said, " To all the unvaccinated who are upset about weekly testing, please don’t let the door hit your back-side on the way out." That is such an asinine statement that shows example of hatred. I hope you're never in a position that you can lose income for you and your family over YOUR OWN health choice. It's this sort of statement that makes me skeptical of the vaccine mandates. There's so much hate, and it's almost like people are happy to see unvaccinated people get fired, not because they're unvaccinated, but because they always hated them and this is a great way to get rid of them. I’ve never seen hate like this before.
As a country, we have already decided through the court system, that an individual’s medical status can not be used by employers to discriminate. HIV, Hepatitis, Tuberculosis, Pregnancy, Gender re-assignment are all examples. There are strict privacy laws in place to ensure it.
As a country, we are on a slippery slope, where an individual’s body sovereignty can be made null by the need for a paycheck.
Selfish? You need to get a grip. I'm vaccinated AND boosted and I still got COVID and had to quarantine. Having the vaccine doesn't ensure you won't get it, and don't you know you can still spread it to others, too. Stop shaming people who don't want OR who can't take the vaccine. My brother-in-law can't take it, told by his Dr. not to take it. Does that make him selfish?
I just did my vaccine verification. Should be called Immunization verification seeing that this isn't a vaccine. If VAXed, you will need to put date(s) and the Lot Number found on you Vax Record Card. A third party will do a backround check so i wouldn't try to fake this. Also you will need to send a pic of your card. As of right now they have no spot for Booster Shot. UnVax, will need to provide a negative test every week by posting a picture on the site. Macy's will not pay for your test. It did state that you can use a "At Home Test". These home test come with serial number on the box. You will need to probably show that every test you take is different from the one prior unless it's a two pack(not 100% sure). I believe it's unethical to do this but the government mandates are forcing Macy's and all retailers to get in line.
The unvaccinated needs to be tested once every week if they want to come to work.
No it doesn't include booster yet. I'm guessing later on in the future it might.

Doesn't START January 16; the documentation DEADLINE is that date. Less than 2 weeks to get it done or have to fess up that you aren't vaccinated, and face the consequences.
But it will be interesting to see how this will go down for the unvaccinated, especially in light of the fact this is all going to end up in the hands of the Supreme Court.
I think Macy's and other companies would be smarter to wait on doing this for now, until this plays out in the courts.
It starts on January 16th, we just got inform at our morning ralley meeting.
I am leaving in February anyway so they can send all the memos they want.
No vax for me, I'll choose religious choice. If they make it hard for me I'll let them fire me so they get the fine imposed from my state.
