So much confusion. Did I get a raise? We voted on the national extension. Do we get 6 and 6? That’s what we voted for. Do we vote again on this extension or is it over? Am I voted on someone else’s raise? Why haven’t the company had an all hands meeting to explain the agreement. They have always had a meeting with all the other contracts. When do we get answers? Can anyone explain?

What is argument against cameras? Same thing years ago with dr-g testing. When your at work you are GE’s bi--h
If CD is pushing so hard for cameras, how about putting them in the hall as well, with access to all dues paying members!!!
Cameras aren’t an issue for me, 100% effort, 100% of the time
@2yor+1mppBilQ This is opening Pandora’s box by putting cameras in here. Yes today company will agree to terms by union. Tomorrow's agreement will be not as friendly on top of time studying the jobs. It should be a membership vote! I would agree to cameras if there was no more competitive pay scale! They can watch me all day pick my nose and work for all I care.
Well no matter what raise I got the National inflation increase just wiped that away plus some. So who cares if people would find other jobs maybe GE would get sick of hiring and laying off people to hire back again.
No. Close the gap they said.
van the issue be resolved by keeping the gap between D and T rates the same? T's would get a tad more and D's a tad less. GE wins too by not putting in even one more cent
It's funny how the same people who sold your future wages and equality down the river want Unity. The only unity you are going to see is among the Ts voting away stuff you want going forward, just like when you guys did. You had your chance for unity.
@3ljo+1mppBilQ You seem to keep asking what others would do? How about you, what’s your take? You wanna follow the lead of this administration and demonstrate weak Leadership? A leadership with no for thought, that foolishly walks into a side bar conversation, when you don’t need to, knowing or should have enough brain capacity to see and understand that you will have some leverage when you actually head into negotiations in’25 - simply because the company has already shown their hand by openly admitting they will absolutely need to add jobs because of the projected demand of renewables/wind coming in - or did we all miss that coming out of the plant managers mouth directly to the membership?
This was not the time to try and create a side bar deal, there was no need.
The “Barrel” that the company had to constantly bend us over is gone , why are we willingly bending over with this approach? Why divide your membership , its only demonstrating how weak & foolish our current leadership is and has been.
Again now is the time to unite, and start demonstrating locally- I don’t often say it, but take a look at Lynn.
@3vdl+1mppBilQ, GE wants the D and T rates, nothing will change that
@3ljo+1mppBilQ No side bar deal. No need to put this on the board members. Locally the membership has spoken, and caught the company’s attention. Schenectady is the only site to turn this down. It’s clear the membership wants better & deserves it. The company knows the next negotiations may be a tough sell. So now is the time to actually UNITE your local, the membership- not Divide it like the current union leadership has chosen to do by trying to divide the nationally agreed upon contract raises.
It may sound silly but it’s time to unite, and start rallying & demonstrating like our friends at Lynn.
Leave it alone - leave it at 6&6 .
Put together a better leadership team to represent you locally and ready for 2025. Schnectady will have work, we have wind/renewables in the fold. The demand for labor is there - leverage should be in play for the membership in 2025
@3pcs+1mppBilQ, hi "polly ann", GE isn't going to pay more than 6&6 so tell us how you'd fix it
Let’s put the Division amongst the T’s & D’s to bed . This Membership will forever be plagued & divided- if we can’t figure out a way to unite. 301 deserves better
Now, here’s a fair question for every single individual that has been on the floor since 2009 to now. The question is in regards to the Deal that was put in place to create & protect Jobs under the “Battery plant / two tier pay system” that created the “T-Rate “ . Ask yourselves what that deal has honestly cost you, what have you had to give up & lost since it was put in place? What have you given up now & over the rest of your careers here at GE as a “ D rate”. Now if you are a “ T rate” the question is what has this deal cost you , honestly what has it cost you? Upon accepting these jobs , as much as it sucks to have come in knowing you’d be accepting a job labeled as “ Competitive wage” - meaning you’d be accepting a job that was supposedly offering fair wage compensation & benefits based on and compared to similar jobs in your residing areas. What has it cost you to accept these jobs here at GE - what have you sacrificed since accepting employment?when you have honestly THOUGHT, and answered this question fairly and reasonably - Now ask yourselves, should we be trying to take money out of another person’s pocket to try and better ourselves, our situation? Is it fair to go after those who arguably sacrificed so much already to help create & protect these jobs? This is exactly where your thought process should be , when openly giving your thoughts and opinions on the pending decision on how to “handle” the nationally agreed upon “contract extension”. A extension likely put on the table By GE, with little to no discussion or negotiations. Why, because 12% in wage increases were offered, with an extension of every thing currently in place in your contract- nothing more. On the surface- it looks like a short term win, simply because there was money attached. This is No Win. GE basically said - here take the money , we need a smooth transition for the next 2 years during this break up of the company.
The decision locally to approach the company and suggest the idea of breaking up the agreed upon raises was foolish with no thought of the impact on the membership, although we all understand the desire to deliver on promises that were made & trying to solidify one’s self in The Unions executive officer’s current positions. This “side bar” deal comes with bad gifts locally in the forms of Cameras & changes to the attendance policy. It has also brought about more negativity & division amongst the membership that has not been seen in my 20 plus years. The moral was thought to have been at all time low with the “consolidation agreement “, this local “ Side bar deal” has only made things worse by adding division amongst the members. The division now adds to the lack of faith & trust in the company and its management teams across all ranks, lack of faith & trust in the National, a lack of faith & trust in the local . All of this is now saddled with the anxieties & concerns of the economy and job security.
CD is pushing for cameras more than the company.
CD will deliver the deal just as the daddies have in the past
We will find out tomorrow
@2dxx+1mppBilQ, agreed I've always found CD's leadership to be excellent
6+6 approved by GE and Int'l Union. How that gets split up it's split up is up to Local 301.
Excellent Local 301 asked for more didn't get it, agreed to the deal, so now it's up to the D's and T's in Schenectady to figure it out. One important note, it's a Local issue, so they can't strike so there is ZERO leverage to ask for more. CD did this right, threw it back in the ands of the D/s and T's...now figure it out
The company had its meeting the day before we voted for 6-6. Thats the only kind of meeting on company property pushing a company deal we ever have. There is never a meeting about the local agreement, its always done in secret with a BA who thinks they run the union. Not just the Current one, dating back to his Daddy, they have all had a twisted idea that doesn't match the bylaws. But the membership has rolled over for years and let all these clowns trample all over our bylaws and do what they want. Will this time be the time the masses stand up? Yet to be seen, the Board meeting will tell the story, those who act based on the memberships wishes vs those that are closed minded like the BA. If the Board refuses the deal, and the clown forces a membership vote, he will follow the path of the last BA and that agreement wasn't legal either, yet we are still living and working under it today. People just are not as smart as they think they are. Read the bylaws, if ya dont have a copy, demand one, your dues being paid every week grant you the right to have a copy and to have a voice of your own.
Tomorrow, 9 and 3
Keep dreaming for good things
You’ll have to wait for the boot lickers at the hall to make all their deals, then the membership can fight for whatever scraps remain.
