Thread regarding Pembina Pipeline Corp layoffs

Re-Org

Anyone else frustrated with the drawn out re-org process? I like by asset focus, but with how long this is taking, makes me question senior leadership’s ability to implement a plan/vision.

To remove silos you need to have man power to support functional cross training. When everyone is slammed looking after each asset, it doesn't seem possible to align with a functional matrix beyond the asset you're already playing catch up on.

But if they staff up... maybe this works. Until that happens nothing is changing.

It’s surprising how some still don’t see it—if you keep reshuffling teams and going through re-or-y after re-or-y, relationships won’t hold and performance will inevitably decline. Even if the board mandates another re-or-y, it doesn’t change the underlying reality. With all the surveys and the influx of new leadership, the idea of becoming “One Pembina” feels less like alignment and more like growing fragmentation. At this pace, it just feels like a matter of time before the next re-or-y comes around again.....

I think there will be more layoffs, but this time will be all the peons will be affect until May. They finish with the managers and above.

Don't believe the new org will work. They keep changing their minds. With the money they are making at the senior level like the other OP said its like cancer. Any maybe something naturally has to change to change thr senior leadership before Pembina will become one. Orgs have got bankrupt, some org leadership members actually got cancer and stepped down naturally.

It's like cancer this nepotism and the new mafia. Cancer in an organization causes such turmoil malignant in all forms eating away at the core of the organization with all these changes.

It's mostly because the SVP in charge of Operations and Projects is about as d-mb as they come. He couldn't spell EPS if someone gave him crayons and pointed at the letters in the alphabet. His issue is playing musical chairs to oust anyone that has spoken up and saving his re--rded sycophants.

Not to mention the VP of HR and her we-ponized values. It's not what you do or how well you do it, it's how you do it. If only they walked the talk.

You’re mistaken if you believe there was a plan. They’re figuring it out as they go.

I suspect a deep cut then a mass scramble by years end to re hire.

Sorry to hear the layoffs didn't go as planned.

Many companies have had difficulties when implementing AI tools to reduce headcount. They often find it wasn't the solution they had expected it to be, and they soon have to rehire. This could become the case here, perhaps.
