Boeing’s Management is in denial again, with the rest of us at Risk, Again.
Putting people at Risk puts All Others At Risk.
Our families; First responders; The health care workers and The Care System

In two weeks we will be in the center of the Covid Storm
So let’s leave the basement and watch the hurricane.
No this is a multi week shutdown, Management is still working from
a spread sheet while breathing their own gasses.

Speaking of gasses, 35% of people hospitalized are on ventilators

The automotive industries closed-up shop two weeks ahead of Boeing

You can keep it up, it is entertaining but we don’t buy it.

@31ac ..... tell that to McNerney & RayRay please. Those of who us who come to work every day & build what used to be the best in the world, we're not in control of Executive & Board of Director decisions that ultimately put us in the predicament we're all in now.Sure even the rank & file have their bad apples, those are at every level really but 90% of the actual WORKforce gets the job done that made Execs., BOD & Union bosses fat & rich. People on here venting their frustrations at a broken Co. have every right to do so, it's an anonymous public forum. Quit chastising those who are sorely disappointed at this latest outcome, you sound like a management cheerleader. Boeing WILL NOT change either, after they get their bailout it'll be biz as usual.... we'll see how long it takes before the SHTF, next management cost cutting-in-the-name-of-quick-profits debacle will most likely be their last.

Boeing did the right thing in closing down operations temporarily for two weeks. Before this two week period of "stay at home..." If they hadn't shut down the factories, people would then complain that they are greedy and don't care about anybody. So after 19 COVID-19 cases and one death of people who worked at this massive company, and just before Jay Inslee's massive "stay at home" order, Boeing is trying to minimize the exposure to COVID-19 among it's own employees and here you people are still complaining. Imagine if Ford Motor Company had factories with sick people, highly infectious and infecting others. Do you think that Ford Motor Company could keep their factory open while a highly infectious virus spreads among employees? They would appear greedy and uncaring. If you have a problem with Boeing, then don't work there. Be thankful for the jobs and pay you have while you have them. Remember this: Boeing wants to build excellent airplanes, that requires a healthy workforce. Boeing has been supporting families, incomes, and doing great things for over 100 years. The sad losses of lives in recent times were due to a lack of transparency and bad decision among some workers; the company name has taken the blame for bad actions and bad decisions of some employees. You who are part of the company, do your part to do your best and be your best. Those airplanes you're building are carrying you, your families, your loved ones, and the loved ones of people around the world. Do your best, be your best. Many of us here in the Puget Sound Region have had family members who worked for Boeing right on down the family line, and you complainers the same. Do your best and be your best for Boeing, for the future of Boeing, and for the future of your families and your neighbor's families in the Pacific NW.

Our 2nd level came down and spoke to us at our opening meeting he says don't be surprised if we dont open after 14 days. After that 14 days where we get 10 paid days as stated in this article, you are on your own. Your either going to have to file for unemployment or use your vacation pay to make up for the missing days.

Now I pressed a first line manager on the subject after this and I says is this gonna be possibly 3 weeks or 3 months? He raised his eyebrows and smiled suggesting the 3 months Was not unreasonable. With the 737 shut down and boeing paying over 10000 peoples wages for over a year for doing absolutely nothing I believe the corporate powers that be will use the stay-at-home order to keep us from getting paid by Boeing.

Say they can't just lay us off because they'd have to pay us for the next 3 or 4 months depending on how long you've worked here. This way they can use the stay-at-home and not pay us anything.

There is every reason to believe that the Covid-19 hot spots will follow the
Same transmission, hospitalization and death rates as seen in Italy.
There is no reason to believe otherwise.

Using this premise as a forecast, in two weeks we will be in the middle of the
Storm

Boeing’s Management is in denial again, with the rest of us at Risk, Again.
Putting people at Risk puts All Others At Risk.
Our families; First responders; The health care workers and The Care System

If Boeing cannot find it within themselves to give too shakes about us
What does it say about Boeing when they put the whole of society at Risk

They Just did that with the Max, we are still in the Max Mess
Boeing shows a reckless disregard for Everything and Everyone but Wall Street.

Spirit AeroSystems suspends Boeing-related production for two weeks:

https://uk.reuters.com/article/us-health-coronavirus-spirit/spirit-aerosystems-suspends-boeing-related-production-for-two-weeks-idUKKBN21B1QB

(Reuters) - Spirit Aerosystems (SPR.N), Boeing Co’s largest supplier, is
temporarily suspending production for the airplane maker at many of its
facilities in the United States for two weeks, as the global coronavirus
pandemic saps demand across the industry.

The company said on Tuesday it would suspend production beginning
March 25 until April 8, including at its main Wichita, Kansas facility,
a day after Boeing halted production at its Washington state
twin-aisle jetliner factory.
