@2ibs+1vmZzYt0, lol yeah it's always nice to find a fellow 🤓 nerd.
I haven't had much interaction with DDAT. Which is intelling of it's self of the company and culture. Everything is very siloed with a mentality of them verses them.
It's a bit like The Games of Thrones novel. Everyone for themselves and who can seat on the iron throne. Highly political toxic environment. When all the real nerds, self critical thinkers, skeptical, innovative, processes improvement, and creative minds with potential leadership flap in the wind unless they can play the political game and build alliances.
Up until my experience with MCOs business and Aetna I have never experienced that kind of cultural environment.
I'd like to hear how you fair in the marketplace fellow tech 🤓 nerd.
Not yet.
God I miss developer gossip. Let's just say there's a lot of wannabes in DDAT with reorgs and they have titles and have been around. I don't fit the mold.
Some of us are as old as these mainframes. When the VPs kanoodle, hopefully the understand core systems and the need to update to current IT protocols.
2zqa+1vmZzYt0, They originally had funding 2021 but it became clear a 60 year old linear database EPDB was inferior to QNXT three dimensional relational database. EPDB data is completely built to CMS first rule pincode which is completely outdated and is a no bueno to first payer systems but for NPIs. QNXT has far more functionality and complexity to meet the Medicaid regulatory complexity. I know COE just love to dump shell records and they go willienelly over their dual contracts.
Eventually the Medicare and Medicaid NexGen program split off and the Medicaid side became Comet program.
But yeah anyways that whole program derailed for a lot of reasons. It's coming up again as to hey let's make two incompatible systems swap. We just don't learn.
Anyhow yes they hire, promote, and have sit warmers but there's pockets of talent.
I hope you found something worthwhile.
# Create a generator
infinite_prosperity = prosperity_to_infinity()
Not my problem anymore. They keep the stupid.
QNXT ? My condolences.
I witnessed the HMOe to Next Gen migration. There was no funding to migrate QNXT., even though the Duals are on there, and it drive Medicare nuts.
@2xsu+1vmZzYt0, it's me again. Lol omg that's funny. It's not the same LD but I have dealt with similar experiences with local IT who couldn't even code a select statement but is somehow going to help me with fixing QNXT for adequacy ontop of that with zero experience to the business knowledge. Just hang in there. 😉 😁
def create_oxymoron():
word1 = "deafening"
word2 = "silence"
oxymoron = f"{word1} {word2}"
return oxymoron
print(create_oxymoron())
Not Data Entry
Closer to VBA
Think we are saying the same thing though.
Spent 6 months removing HTML tags thanks to a "IT" LD copying and pasting from MS Office where they should not have.
It's time no one will ever get back.
This is @1czw+1vmZzYt0, I am trying to get your meaning: "Maybe if they copy and pasted Hello World. from excel ?"
Are you implying the LD/EX of data entry analyst cutting and pasters from Excel? Or
the LD/EX of VBA:
Sub HelloWorld()
MsgBox "Hello World!"
Either way just trying to get your statement meaning. The code humor is humorous and nerdie cute.
@1sav+1vmZzYt0 @1czw+1vmZzYt0
aetna government services in a nutshell nobody collaborates nobody shares nobody talks, because they know as soon as they do their project will be taken by a scam artist lead director/executive director who couldn't write hello world. i feel bad for our execs, they have no clue how blind and stupid they are
I feel like we are talking about the same people.
Does every group have this pairing?
Maybe if they copy and pasted Hello World. from excel ?
print("Hello, World!")
Easypeasy, OP thanks for the lol. As a former employee to HP government sector I can relate.
Wish we could be transparent 😔
@hlq+1vmZzYt0 "A culture of repeated layoffs leads to worker stress and burnout. Such a culture leads to ingrained corruption where the corrupt thrive. The company is left with a culture of backstabbing where the backstabbers thrive."

@xvh+1vmZzYt0 these corporate shills that act like anonymity is a problem disgust me. nobody is quitting, and we'll continue anonymously complaining and pointing out the issues that lead to layoffs on the layoff forum. understand?
Agree with this statement in the comments below. This is very prevalent in our current culture.
"The company is left with a culture of backstabbing where the backstabbers thrive"
The new guy from united is going to cut to greatness...just watch and wait. I guarantee move will get thrown overboard and perhaps exits from some lines altogether
It doesn’t, layoffs are part the game these days. Every company in every industry does them regularly, it doesn’t change a thing. Don’t like your job then quit. Don’t like your company then quit. Posting on an anonymous website, hiding your identity because deep down you don’t have the guts to put your name on your comments changes nothing.
The culture in Aetna /CVS is currently one where people in leadership roles do not grow the talent they have and do not fully understand what having employees mean. As a result, they sit in their positions trying to avoid layoffs themselves and never moving out of their roles. This prevents movement of staff and thus allows for layoffs. If you've been in a Lead Director or above role for more than 7 years and haven't moved on, you're the problem.
Senn and Delaney correctly argue that culture can take 100 years to change. It becomes ingrained. A culture of repeated layoffs leads to worker stress and burnout. Such a culture leads to ingrained corruption where the corrupt thrive. The company is left with a culture of backstabbing where the backstabbers thrive. At times it becomes difficult to recruit and fill positions. The attitude that one is lucky to have a job becomes what job? People eventually run away and the business shrinks and withers away.
