They may as well not bother giving you two Indian's. Two for the price of one is not always the way. If they can't do the job properly, there is no point.
Our India teams are straight out…. Useless
Plus COMMSCOPE has a mandate of 2x1… as a manager, they give me 2 India employees instead of 1 American
They want very cheap and very good (also in that order) and is why they look to India. India has massive population also so talent pool is huge. Where it often falls down is that things get lost in translation.
For the one post asking why they don’t look for talent outside the US…. Oh they do!
And hired the worst talent they could find in India!
Not even the India employees stay long :)
Thanks.
On redundancy point, what I am saying is that in some countries employees can get government statutory compensation if cs don't have the money. cs and Hr in general have US centric mindset when it comes any policies/ benefits or allowances that can be offered. they simply can't grasp anything that isn't US.
CommScope is now that big Terd sandwich that every remaining employee gets to have for lunch every workday.
Who you directing that at?
Good point. Taking redundancy would enable the great reset. People with low morale and only hanging on for this can then leave. That would be best outcome for all surely?
However, I don't think the company are in position to pay people off. As it goes, if they were to pay someone off, they could hire someone possibly on a lower salary if it was decided that the position needed filling again.
Why don't they offer voluntary redundancy? Even if they can't pay severance, means employees depending on region can at least weigh up their options.its not that easy just to walk away from a job after years with noting .They are so stuck in their USA bubble they can't see that voluntary might be the light at end of tunnel for some employees who want to leave and avail of in country government payouts.
It must be difficult trying to find motivation to get out of CommScope when it has already grinded you down and taking its toll on your health and wellbeing.
Any self-respecting person would step it up a gear in their pursuit of a new opportunity. Get over the line and get out basically.
Come now, at least Vantiva isn't saddled with $9.5B debt burden which is a big plus in my book. I am waiting to see how Vantiva's leadership take on the declining video market.
I must be one of the lucky ones, I've ended up at Vantiva 🙁 not much in it at then moment as to which is the worst company
