XTO Anniversary No Longer Recognized

Just found out they are no longer recognizing 15 and 25 year milestones for XTO employees. Guess with record profits we just can’t afford the expense of meaningful recognition to our employees. Thanks for nothing ExxonMobil.

Just hit my 15 year and was looking forward to receiving my bronze. Sad to hear it has been discontinued! No love for loyalty!

@2wfx+1jF7uLa1 Don't worry....your time is coming. You will be told the same thing.

I hear great stories and see big smiles from the few XTO people around, good folks when they talk about the company history. The same smiles come from the few remaining Mobil folks when they talk of the decades of great work…..now we have this. I almost have the key for the gold handcuffs RE hear I come!

XTO was the best company ever. I don't remember anyone ever quitting XTO. 🤔 I'm staying just long enough to retire... which is real soon.

When XTO came about, I remember the words "lets not break this". Likely referring to companies we destroyed.

Guess we could not resist.

@spr If by wrong you mean realistic and somewhat cynical then we just might agree on on your main points.

Maybe if all of you guys weren’t married to your jobs you’d be less miserable and have better balance between work and living.

There’s nothing wrong with me @spr. Unlike you, I figured out the game early on and played it to my advantage.

The employer/employee relationship is transactional. Always has been, always will be. You’ll all be much happier once you accept that.

All that matters is Randy got his 30 year and moved on before the changes. Looked like a good guy but allowed Englewood to bleed out and prop up folks we are stuck with today that are self absorbed takers. The bottom line xto is over. What was good was in a few people really at the end of the day. The XTO people XOM has promoted up is head scratching but must have the same value system. I will be glad when I can move on.

How about instead of deleting milestones, they were added? You know, like raising standards instead of racing to the bottom.

Clear message that you are a low value burden that is tolerated to generate earnings, and not a contributory factor to it.

It has not been recognize more or less around 2017. EM sent the mail to explain that the cost of the bronze cowboy is was expensive and they need to save money, but I think they move that money to Delaware. But everybody knows what happened to Delaware Facilities at that time, or course with the help of the Permian Facilities management.

The awards quit being meaningful when they started giving them to XOM employees.

XTO people left when they realized they were going to be managed by incompetent downstream XOMbies with no unconventional technical experience.

@btd+1jF7uLa1 You are what's wrong with the corporate world now. You hate on "boomers" and older-than-you folks. These people have wisdom and by the way, there is something to be said about finding value in your work; being recognized and YES da---t having an office! You young generation don't value INDIVIUALITY and plain old hard work and respect for your fellow man. Try it some time. -Generation X

Probably not enough of us heritage XTO employees around to give service awards to. Most were let go.

EM has never done 15. I think this is just aligning the organizations and trying to further eliminate the divide between EM and XTO. It seemed easier to merge Exxon and Mobil than it’s been to acquire XTO and rebrand.

Remember the ceremonies we used to have to award the anniversary statues? XTO knew how to show appreciation to employees.
