Thread regarding Frontier Communications Corp. layoffs

No more frontier!

So I no longer work at this death trap. I make about 25% more and am not micro-managed... The fact that I'm not micro-managed is a raise all on it's own!

I left shortly after the 2016 layoffs in Wisconsin. I got stuck with 4 times my original area. My boss left and was replaced with the king of a-s kissers, now a Director. Glad to be gone after I saw the company pi-s away tax dollars for CAF projects. Why people aren't in jail over the embezzlement stumps me. Waiting for the doors to hlose once and for all.

Got the boot in 2016. Ftr kept the a$$ kissers and boot lickers. Yes men that stabbed previous employees for their own careers. And as they hit promoted they inturn hired their own A$$ kissers.
This is very prevalent in Michigan, and Wisconsin.

I agree, I also no longer work for FTR. I was a little worried when I was layed off, however, with the severance package and unemployment, I was good. Now I work for a great company and make 20k more a yr. Thanks for laying me off FTR, best thing that has happened to me. P.S, if you still work there, leave, there are better jobs out there.

If you're doing that in an 8 hour day, you aren't doing it correctly.

"Give more OPP as a Manager and I'll be quiet. Say you handle 5 tickets a day (3 install and 2 repair) give me 7. That's a 40% increase in productivity allowing for a 40% reduction in staff. If that's too much, we can just backfill with contractors. I favor them doing all drops. Have a great day!"

@6wfb+1o1xPNUm, I agree, more productivity is needed so as to cover all of the corporate overhead! I'll do my part, Nick and the team are winners.

I so glad I quit Frontier. I got a job at the Checkers on MLK and I already been promoted to assistant supervisor of the drive thru. Frontier is a deadend job and the managers all be ignorant. I finally have a career instead of working in stupid call center with re--rded people.

You answered it yourself, if all lunches are in a 2 hour window and there are 50 techs.... stands to reason that several will be on lunch at the same time. Lunch is their time, unpaid, and they can even eat in a diner. Customer is the priority, SAFETY is first.

@1elo+1o1xPNUm, customer first. lunches are in a two hour window in most contracts, the odds you can all "synch" your lunches are low indeed.

You obviously aren't a Frontier employee, we haven't been considered a utility since deregulation. Even techs get a lunch break, and yes it can even happen in a coffee shop at the same time other techs have theirs. The only BS here is your opinion.

Not fooling anyone. You drove by, but they were still there, but came back after they left and had your 2 hour lunch

My guess is you need to be micromanaged. NO IDLE TIME. How many times I've driven by a coffee shop or the like and seen 3, 4 or even 5 utility (telecom, electrical, gas, etc.) trucks/vans all stopped there during working hours. It's BS...get to work!
