Thread regarding 3M layoffs

treat the little people with respect

In my opinion, a major issue lies in the unequal treatment of production operatives, specifically the worker bees, as compared to other staff. It seems that only non-production staff are offered incentives and learning opportunities, while the production workers are left with nothing. As a result, I anticipate a high attrition rate among skilled production workers in Q2 and Q3 of this year.

It’s the uneducated peasants that are ruining 3M.
Some of us worked hard for our education and to see uneducated, shop
Floor workers demanding better pay and rights is disgusting. Get back in the gutter where you belong

3M needs to remove incentives and bonuses to management. All it does is promote unethical shortcuts to be greedy. Employees are exhausted from working ot everyday so these bozos get monthly and quarterly perks for doing nothing.

Peasants… ? For your information, there are plenty of well educated people with diplomas working in production positions. Just because YOU have a diploma, that doesn’t mean you have common sense. The people in production who you consider “peasants”were hired by people with a degree, so there’s that. Based on your comments, it’s amazing that you still have a job. The whole anonymous thing gave you set. Didn’t it? ;-)

I think the OP is refering to production or attendances bonuses that were withdrawn from the peasants several years ago, they are lucky to be employed by this great company and if it was not for management sorting out their lives they would be drawing state benefits as they have no education behind them

What incentives are you referring to? Other than everyday wins points… there are no incentives. As far as learning opportunities- not sure what you are referring to… udemy (3M learn) isn’t much better than you tube. Are you referring to the learning tracks? Read through info on this site - lots of complaining about the required training.
