Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

No PTO payout.

What a coincidence they Jay and the EMT announced at the end of 2022 that PTO wouldn't be payed out for separation of employment for what ever reason. They tried to convince us that PTO is an expensive perk and that we shouldn't be payed for this time we earned. This Is nothing more that stealing from the employees what is rightfully theirs. I'm sure there will a rush from people to use up PTO ASAP.

I heard they are only paying PTO based on what is accrued since it was all pre loaded at the beginning of the year. It is sad we have to rely on hear say because EMT blind sided us through email. They talk about values and people matter when their actions are opposite.

Latest on the FAQ is showing that PTO for 2023 is still accrued by pay period. “Please note, while 2023 PTO balances were frontloaded, they are accrued on a per pay period basis.” So sounds like if you have a bunch of 2023 PTO, you might have less than what ultipro shows.

You folks do know that CC is paying out all unused PTO up to 120 hours, right? This thread is irrelevant.

That's part of why they want more people in Houston. Reduce the number of California employees, besides the high salaries there are a lot of employee helpful laws that make companies want to avoid hiring from there. Such as paying out all PTO and requiring your last paycheck to be on your last day.

Check your state laws. Some require a payout. Don’t let them trick you.

They cut back severance (like they did with benefits) tremendously. If you aren't worried about losing your job in this downward spiral of an economy, now is the time to jump... Get the largest payout possible and keep your RSUs.
