Thread regarding Saudi Aramco layoffs

Dealing with spiteful backstabbers?

Saudi Aramco has become too toxic a place with too many of those who are more engaged in underhanded tactics that make others look bad than they are engaged in their business.
I know people who say they can’t wait to leave Aramco, while at the same time mostly showing back-stabbing behaviors. Their goal is not to get out of here but to try in every way to keep the job.

I can't blame them, they follow orders and protect their jobs. in my case was a combination of Chavez son's and Ramses son's (poor ethics people). They had a complex structure and well positioned, I remember my supervisor trying to force words from my mouth, mentioning that I worth less than a PDP and at the same time that I behave like a local, that moment was my worst day at work, I figure out I was at the wrong department at the worst timing. Others departments had very capable local leaders that value you work.

I enjoy it as well; comparing each others experiences.
I just wish that the overlords wouldn't be so sensitive and quick with the delete.

I find this site cathartic aswell after suffering the trauma of having a Saudi Aramco Manager!! And living in what felt like a weird 'Truman Show' bubble that was the Dhahran camp!

Great comment MO! Herd mentalitiy is common to all the mammals! Stick to your own and no problems! Don't make a mistake I did. Being too close to the others reveals some of your privacy. It's been three years that I left, and found a new job, but experience with Aramco is terrible. I am firmly convinced that my lay-off didn't have anything to do with my performance, but with pure backstabbing. I was just one competitor less, a number, E, E, E and at once D, and that was it.

Too me it is a human behavior as old as the human race, even older. Even crosses the species boundary. Why is anyone surprised? Look at the Neanderthals and Cro-Magnon man, chimps and gorillas, and the many race w-rs and g-n-oc-des throughout history. Best in most cases to drive within the bounds of your own lane, stick with your tribe.

I will try to put it mildly. Beware of people from emerging and neighboring countries, especially those who have acquired western passports. Watch your back and enjoy the ride while it lasts.

It is predictable, seems we are mostly kids of the 60s and 70s. Our skins are thick enough. Now we have to develop sensitivity not to offend anyone.

Several comments on this have been removed, but I will repeat the same thing as it was previously mentioned. I had problems with Polish nationals. Not UK, not India, not anyone else but Polish. "My friend", "my friend" but the ones I worked with would drink you like glass of water. All starts with innocent jokes, roumors, but once you are marked, you are done. Especially if there are several of them, you might be a scapegoat. Beware of Polish teams!

I agree, there was a similar post that was completely deleted. So it seems that expressing opinions about a certain group is considered derogatory how mildly stated they may be.

I predict that these posts will be deleted. Probably the entire thread.
