Any updates to the approval process of remote? Like who will determine if you are remote

@2twx+1rh9FVtL What org are you in, are most of those people actually located near one of the remaining offices?

In our org, a considerable number of people worked out of offices that Dell closed during covid. They have no choice but to choose remote. Seems unethical to target those people for WFR given they ended up remote due to Dell's decision to not reopen those offices.

In my Org its up to you - they have told you the consequences. Last week meeting they were talking about targeting WFHs for the next reduction. The choice is yours in most cases.

You seem lazy af, so should probably only be approved for 5 days a week onsite.

Actually, your manager can't really object to your remote election unless you:

*Have been at Dell less than 3 years
*Are a "talent concern" (basically, on a PIP)
*Have a team that is more than 50% in the same office

Otherwise, they can't say no. And there is some variance in orgs. For instance, in Dell Digital, the only reason they want you to say no is if they are a talent concern and there's some plan whereby they can improve within an office environment.

It's your manager, but not really. They basically need to 'go to bat' for you to get higher up approval. If you're close to an office, you probably won't be approved without some major exemption.
