But, but, but we have xx% of profit per over-weighted bad mileage vehicles and program management will say and we made so many billions last year. Hog wash, we have no affordable product lineup for the average household income. This will be just like the 80's and 90's when the foreign companies dominated and delivered to the consumer needs.
Mexico, India and China already know how to engineer, build and deliver a vehicle to the consumer much appreciation to our executive management. These jobs are being transferred overseas at an ever increasing rate.
Get your paperwork updated and take any / all classes to make yourself current for your resume to get out of this toxic mess.

Remember, validation data is used against you in a ignition-type government lawsuit.
This is the equivalent of a politician smashing staffer's cellphones with a hammer. Eventually people will buy these EVs and find out. Then what?

There have been times GM has said this, then closed open positions and frozen transfers.
Would the OP mind telling us what org they are in? I’ve heard nothing.
The VSP was your warning that the company wanted to cut headcount.
That was them asking nicely.
Then there were the "perfomance" layoffs. Another warning.
I wouldn't be surprised if they've been quietly laying people off, because they do that before every big public ISP.
An ISP is them telling without worrying about being nice.
It's two parts of the same action, not one "paying" for the other.
And yes, they're likely to blame the union even though they've been in layoff mode since the beginning of the year, because management never takes responsibility.
They always blame a scapegoat.

This su-ks. I was wondering how they were gonna pay for the vsp….by “layoffs”.
Also a park of me thinks they’ll blame the uaw strikes for why they need to lay off more corporate employees.
It would help to know what area vs just writing layoffs. I believe Validation was the target.
