Are we really having a sales kickoff? How much money does this cost? wouldn't it bt better to save? instead of flying everyone out just to "network" and get drunk in las vegas.

@2t3 The last Sales Enablement leader tried to tell ELT that all the trainings coming from Product Marketing were too siloed and confusing for sales but she got fired instead of them listening to her.
@2kd no and that’s part of the problem: titles and functions are all mixed up compared to other companies. Sales Enablement just program manages and schedules trainings from Product Marketing whereas they should actually be administering a clear curriculum to funnel the right information to help Sales sell.
@pp you said, "They need to hire a real sales enablement team."
What are the value realization team doing to help our sales? Isn't that enablement?
@ej The CFO keeps mentioning a recapitalization so likely they are trying to find someone else to buy them out from KKR to keep things as they are. If they aren't able to do that, KKR is stuck with the company and will probably start making big changes.
@rb They probably can't fire until after bonuses are paid out, otherwise it becomes a lawsuit risk. So if there are any more departures, it would probably be after April.
the packet of material you must do for sko is stupidly long and boring trash content written by bad indian developers and bad indian marketing persons
Kev.n has gotten more of his friends hired like Raina to build this material for sko sessions
fire kev.n all he doing is using omnissa funds for hiring his cousins nephews nieces in sales org and his friends as consultants for various garbage projects
SE layoffs coming after kickoff
y spend money to bring SE to Vegas and then fire the SE after
wut kind of stupidity decisions is that
an0ther brilliant kev1n decision
@f5 this is a weird way to train. They need to hire a real sales enablement team. How about just better resources? Battle cards? Real competitive intel?
The software is dated and buggy, nobody wants it. Its a bit like have a sales kick off for scrapped cars. Indians have put it in this state. They have destroyed tech in general. Anything they touch turns into a buggy dystopic nightmare. The next thing they will do is start harvesting user data and sell it.
"everybody"? Fewer than 25% of the company is going.
@f5 and we need to fly everybody out to do that? maybe you guys should move and relocate to an office to do this as part of your jobs lmao
i think kickoff is fine, i hate Vegas like the rest of you ppl but i would rather have a kickoff then not having one
the format will be competitive role play to beat ms intune and other company’s products. lots of interview style sessions for sales
KKR is asleep at the wheel. Their attention is apparently directed elsewhere. They must have a clueless junior private equity associate assigned to our business. No meaningful oversight.
I'm surprised KKR is cool with the cost of this. It's usually 90% a waste of time and money.
