Any word of lay offs happening in SBS? VP says our job is secure, but you never really know these days.

“VP says our job is secure" ... in 20 years, there is only 1 VP I knew that I ever had any respect for. All the rest are bs artists. Your mileage may vary, but the ones now are completely without morals and integrity.
Expect layoffs first quarter FY21. SBS will get hit hardest due to missed new sales "few new business start-ups" next 6 months. Once government checks end mid July retail sales will get hit hardest. Business rehire will be slow until holiday season.
Those associates with more than 10 years service watch out.

You missed that one.
I would expect layoffs could happen sometimes in fy21 but not in fy20
Call volumes have not ceased and rushing to lay-off parr’s fo the workforce to adjust to what will hopefully be a temporary dip adds costs in onboarding. Rest assured though finance is likely running the numbers. After a certain threshold of losses and little to no sales the numbers will decide it.
People like to get on here and bemoan bad stuff leaders and are bitter about being let go because they were making 60-90k a year answering the phone or more doing something else that can be done for less. They didn’t invest in themselves and missed or didn’t have opportunities and put all their eggs in the ADP basket. Then when reality hit, their basket broke.
Invest in yourself, always keep your resume up to date and on your home email no matter who you work for
Always.
If you are an ADP employee with quite a few years of experience, then definitely expect to be laid of or fired for "incompetence". Your work performance and dedication doesn't matter and will not save you from your termination. You are "earning too much money" and must be let go in favor of saving on labor costs according to ADP's grand "strategic" plan.
Don't kid yourself, be prepared to leave at any time and if you see a good opportunity, go for it. There is nothing at ADP worth sticking around for, not for veteran employees nor for newly-hired "cheap" employees. Both will find better opportunities at better and more saner companies.
“VP says our job is secure, “
Now the Translation from English into BS Adp speak :
VP = Vice president
Vice president = upper management
Upper management = lying unethical a**hole.
Actual meaning of the above sentence when translated into Adp language:
“ we scumbags don’t give a damn about you so get your resume ready and get your arse out and look for another Job”
I would think SBS is coming on a world of hurt shortly. Hope I’m wrong for the clients sake.
Do not think SBS will be seeing any layoffs soon. They have brought back Temps some of who have been on for over a year due to all the work that needs to be done. SBS is one messed up business unit. Training of the new hires is a joke. Reps just do what they want to get clients off the phone.
