@3kxa+1qPqRPCs He should never have got the job in the first place. His reputation was well known. Nor was he commercially minded. Back in September, the Sunday Times did a well researched article on BL. It spoke about his wedding being the strangest thing people had ever attended. It was apparently more like a BP event!! The hard copy of the ST said before being made CEO, he found out where the chairman went on holiday and booked himself in there. The online version of the ST has been changed and now says that he holidayed with the chairman. The original version must have been complained about by his reps and amended.
bp never fails to disappoint. Take that to the bank.
Word on the street is that performance is not where we would like it to be.should have got rid of him sooner
@2vtc+1qPqRPCs I think the rot set in with Lord Browne's 'turtles'. Bob Dudley was alright, but Looney and Hayward were dreadful. Murray is going to be downright boring - no charisma for a CEO role.
it does not matter. the share price will continue to suffer. bP has been circling the toilet for many, many years.
@2nif+1qPqRPCs Dear Bernard and Murray, sadly I can't share your optimism because Shell is a well run company, and BP....isn't. Maybe if BP ditched most of Bernard's leadership team and stopped trying to reach net zero ahead of everyone else, things would improve.
Shell just reported excellent result for 2023 Q4, exceeding market consensus, so maybe ours will be also good
