I thought that the Fitbit layoffs happened several months ago. I talked with a dude who came through the acquisition and he was laid off. I guess more layoffs can always happen, but I was told they took a big hit back then.

Peace

You realize multiple Googlers come onto this site, right? In fact I'm not the only one calling you out.

My dude, you really need to do some introspection here. You have been calling layoffs for the org that does Fitbit and other Google devices for... shoot seems like forever, but at least a year. And I mean many, many times. You can hardly go two months without "predicting" layoffs for that org. I could spend some time going through the backlogs to find your "predictions" but it wouldn't surprise me if you have been at this for multiple years.

None of your predictions use the correct terminology. And even after @7lun+1u6lGqXN pointed that out IN AUGUST you didn't adjust your strategy.

We are past the point of determining if you have an inside insight. You don't. You simply don't.

I now wonder what, precisely, you are getting out of these posts. A couple of possibilities spring to mind.

  1. You want to get some group of people in general anxious about their jobs, and you happened to pick this set of people at Google. At this point, you should consider finding a different board. No one working on Fitbit or Pixel is in any way, shape or form more anxious about their job after reading one of your posts. Really, you should regroup and go elsewhere, you can't get anyone riled up anymore here.
  2. You really, really, really hate Fitbit and other Google devices. That's cool. There are companies on this site that do things I really, really, really hate. Far more effective ways of taking that out on companies than ranting at a handful of insiders who hold no real sway over the situation. Bottom line, your Fitbit hate isn't being channeled in any useful way by posting here. You should regroup and find another strategy.
  3. You really just want my attention. Um, okay I guess? I could just make a macro to post a standard reply to your posts. Not too a big a deal for me.

I doubt it is 3, I mean who cares about me? So it is likely either 1 or 2. I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors as you chart out what you will do in 2025.

@1kkz are you paid by Google? Or better is theayoff itself bought by Google?

Before taking @OP seriously, readers should consult @1atr+1u6lGqXN, which is a response to one of his or her many other posts.

Also, note that he or she is still not using the right org name.
