I am 100% sure NOV has a large sum of money budgeted for OTC and the Shrimp Boil. How about just cancelling the whole plan for 2020, it has already been delayed anyway. Take that budgeted money and push it down to the divisions for "relief" and let them hold onto some more people. The quick cutting of heads will position this company to a state of struggling when things start picking back up. We will not see many of these people come back to the oilfield if we do not take care of them now.

Clay Williams has a lot to answer for. He has destroyed this company.

that bad old oil that makes your car run or makes the plastics you use or d–gs that make you healthy. Why dont you go back to California and by the way, you should walk so you dont use any of that bad oil.
All trade show events and advertisements have been canceled for 2020.
Oil is dinosaur technology, it's on it's way out. Praise the lord and god bless mother earth. May the hateful republican satanists all choke on their black gold. Best thing that could happen for humanity is that there will be no picking back up in the fossil fuel sector. Amen
that money is already planned to go to upper management to offset the potential raising cost of gas.
Because it's bad business to pay someone to sit around and do nothing. If you don't have the business to support a workforce, it just makes sense to cut the workforce.
It’s a great suggestion, but I can’t see it happening. Most of the highly skilled, high potential individuals have already left the firm, or are looking to get out right now anyway.
Problem is, they think of employees as replaceable parts like screws or bolts.
