Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Huawei hasn’t been too important for a long time. The ruling is of little consequence for Qualcomm. Financial loss will equal pocket change.

It seems that Qualcomm workers don’t realize that Qualcomm uses the AMD design.

Once AMD and Nvidia arm pc chip out, let’s see who will be putting into the right place for the what so called AI laptops

I was able to get a higher paying position after getting the latest Q axe thankfully, but I’ve never seen the stock that high…. Good for them though. Still good people over there

Other tech companies have the knowledge base and skilled personnel to move forward with AI. Qualcomm doesn't. They are an IP and modem company.

Qualcomm will do one or both of the following: (1) promote existing dead-wood, scheming, useless mgmt to AI positions who know very little about modems let alone AI; (2) hire (and over-pay) for an external AI experienced person(s) but hamstring them the minute they sign on by having them report to the garbage mgmt in option (1).

@2qgd+1suPLeFY Any rumor how close is Apple on the way out? They gave up 5G, and they are so secretive about everything. Maybe they will reply on Q for longer, at least hope for it.

Apple is on the way out. Samsung knows this and will squeeze Q. Modem leadership is like winning a little league trophy - no one cares now that 5G has failed to deliver while 6G is a pipe dream. Just look at all the modem folks jumping to auto/AI. The short term boost in shares will die once AI hype normalizes.

The future of Qualcomm is more uncertain than ever before in its lifetime.

That’s there is so much drama about x-elite…..if Samsung abandons Qualcomm…..it will be done……
