Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

His planned it not to give you a raise

The figures are manipulated to pay annual costs and the bonuses of the gang and other management in the first quarter. Thats why It always looks disastrous when they announce results in August and they can say to employees no raises for you. Yet they bag it every year.

From the earnings call below Salvino let it slip.

"As a reminder, the first quarter is seasonally our lightest free cash flow quarter as we made previously planned annual vendor payments for software, maintenance, and paid annual bonuses."

I reckon successive "senior market-leading executives" that we've had must've lost over 90% of the value of the companies whilst making a pretty penny out of our efforts and the shareholders pockets

Very true, it smore than 99% if you look at:
https://ycharts.com/companies/DXC/stock_buyback
you can see Mikeys1&2 have spent $3.794B on share buybacks since DXC was formed. Its current market cap is $4.19B so there is really only a value of $396M attached to DXC by Wall St
If you include Mikey1's spend on buybacks in CSC days of a further $1.715B then the true scale of value destruction is 100% as DXC is worth today $4.19B having spent $5.509B in share buybacks!

Anyone know what the combined market capitalisations of HP, EDS and CSC were? And what is the current market cap of DXC?
That's what the Mikeys should have been assessed on in their End of Year appraisals

Is the brokenhearse still around? Was a dodgy character, surprised manda didn't take him with her.

They all are dodgy manager's in that cloud line including the meattal guy, trying to bring the company down from inside making up a load of extra paperwork, stopping engineers.

I hear that engineers now don't want to do the extra work, they shot themselves in the foot and delivery is down the drain. Sally has another thing coming if he thinks his going to win GBS business on the back of stopped delivery.

Alot of i take it is from Brokenhearse he makes it all up as he goes along.

Ah yes meat all and the others are the same. They bully the brokenhearse.

They all make inconsistent decisions but won't officially communicate them, then blame each other when it goes wrong.

The paperwork and bans just means work cannot be done, and customers eventually leave as it becomes the usual DXC nondelivery org.

Meanwhile Mikey is so far from it unaware thinking they are doing well on cost take out.

As long as each level thinks its ticking thier boxes they don't care about the future of DXC as they are shrinking it with thier actions.

It was mentioned today on a call that they are looking at cost optimisation, which at the moment looks like travel bans.. but no comms about this.

There are rumours that anyone in ITO cannot claim overtime but will be paid time in lieu. No notice of decision but there are already processes to review all overtime that has not been communicated….no comms again about this!

All we need as employees is comms of what is actually going on but our CEO is doing a great impression of Joe Biden and hiding in his basement.

Give us a leader that actually leads…PLEASE!!!

They’re already coming up with list of names so they can reduce cost even further.

One way to reduce costs will be to get rid of the contractors don’t do sh-t.

We all know DXC is the company that doesn't give pay rises, I don't know why anyone even mentions it. You either joined 20+ years ago and haven't had more than 2% in the last 10 years, or joined recently and obviously thought the salary was good enough at the time. So the company doesn't see any reason it needs to give a pay rise now or any time soon, so it's probably not going to.

"DXC should have budgeted for merit pay increases"

Forget Merit increases. By that I guess you mean for those doing Above & Beyond? There should be normal Annual pay increases. A number of our countries get that (including the possibility of pay decreases if CoL goes down).
Most companies (ones run by people who understand Business anyway) have an annual pay increase and then have a separate award for Merit.
We just have an Exec money-shower, and nothing for anyone else - including the shareholders who own the company

DXC should have budgeted for merit pay increases and should have handled them out to those who exceeded some of their person goals.

It didn’t happen because it was never going to happen. Anyone that stays at DXC is an id--t or don’t care about advancing

It is a depressingly consistent annual cycle, bonuses for the Execs and sorry no funds to pay the workers more, usually appended with a "we're just introducing a new fairer pay and remuneration process, bear with us while we fine tune it", counterposed by " just had some new senior exec's join who need to review what was being planned". Also known as , you're getting nothing again this year.
