Thread regarding NetApp layoffs

Replacing GK

There is growing sentiment among employees that GK needs to go. He’s done too much damage. If it happens would it stem the tide of layoffs?

@2tg you are right. One of those leeches will step into GK’s seat (or thinks he will anyway). GK should dump the msft losers, especially the Spanish ones. The arrogance and stupidity of that circle is hurting the business. But as GK isn’t dealing with them he gets what he deserves. I agree that GK leaving will result in more layoffs.

Lol, who's to say a GK replacement wouldn't cause MORE layoffs?

@4n9 Agree with your post. GK will take it us to the "promise land" of 10B in revenue!!
Full disclosure=not in management and I believe GK.

@OP Every company has employees who are arm-chair CEOs and want the leader gone. The board decides if GK stays or goes. I don't see them replacing GK. He's going to lead us to $10B in revenue. 😉

@2q5

"leechers"

You mean the Microsoft rejects that come in just long enough to destroy teams, produce and morale, then jet immediately once their equity vests? Any CEO worth their weight can and should be ruthless towards these middle management seat warmers.

He needs to go, but I guarantee you we’ll miss it when he’s gone. The next guy won’t be as forgiving, patient, and lenient, with underperformers and leechers.

Cesar and GK both need to go! Take RDB with you. Greed flows through them.

Where is this "growing sentiment" aside from people on this site, most of whom are likely not even NetApp employees?

It doesn't matter. The C-staff is one thing, then it's the levels of management, so many levels. This makes it hard to get anything done. The right people don't show up for meetings, are left off of emails, and everything is last minute.

GK primary job is to make sure he and the other execs su-k as much money out of the company as possible. Why would they bite the hand that feeds?

Of course it wouldn't. These kinds of people (C-staff) are all the same.
