On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the best), how would you rate Chevron’s IT department?

seems like IT crashed Teams this week so that everyone will have to be back in office! lol
Bill B. Is an absolute joke of a leader….sorry, leader was too generous. What is unbelievable is that executive leadership has continued to support this void in leadership in IT. But why am I surprised by that?
I wish our IT was more easier to use! It makes me sometimes so very frustrated!
The leadership is a joke and the reorg was awful
DJT, my personal savior, would lay off everyone since IT is un-American
Rank 1. CTC LT can barely use their own PCs, conference rooms, or have a basic understanding what the cloud is. Good luck.

The truly technical IT people are treated terribly at Chevron.
IT is dysfunctional with their enormous "software engineering" chapter where their leaders are backstabbing and employees are always trying to one up each other. The really good engineers are quite smug about their coding skills, even though they don't know how the business works. The other business analysts turned into software engineers are all quitting because they don't see a future in IT for them because IT told them that they needed to be coders. the whole thing is a mess with this "powerhouse of talent" nonsense. the FLT has no f ing clue.
@2wge - too many managers? ya I guess? But those managers also have 30 people each. It just shows how fat IT used to be even before the ROM. There's plenty of staff. They just don't know how to use them.
@2cxdb Amen! Its brutal in IT right now. As stated multiple managers, not enough staff around and little respect. The company needs to help IT out!
given they have both hands tied behind their backs, 12 managers telling them what to do, oh and dont forget chapter managers now too, 22 different priorities, and 100 MSP staff who likely dont exist but somehow have accounts.... yeah... TNTR
0 out of 10 for all the agile stupidity. Agile in Chevron means rolling out a half a-s tool that barely works and take no input from customers to get it fixed. #agile = #stupidity
A 3?
Chevron has an IT department? You learn something new every day.

Those complaining about IT need to realize that the outsourcing to overseas is a major problem as the quality is not very good. They are slow to work on things and don't necessarily have the skills needed. Better to support US IT.
In the opinion of the people who were laid off? Just wondering why you post it here.
Can I rate them a zero? Incompetent, terrible response time. They're favorite response is "reboot your computer", and it takes literally a year to get third-party software "approved" for use in Chevron. No innovation or insight whatsoever, we should just outsource IT support to Microsoft. Since I'm on my personal computer, they can't be tracking these keystrokes.

10 out of 10 for our AGILE IT PRACTICES!
They get a one as a rating, no help from overseas IT due to US time difference. Cannot find the correct IT (in Houston) for help due to too many managers and limited IT techs and analysts to assist. If they cannot reach you they close your ticket to meet their quota. IT system has gotten even worse since the 2020 company changes.
IT support sucks. Hopefully it's better to work for than to need, but I don't hold out any hope.
If I was MW then I'd say -1 while I understaffed IT and put them through he-l. No wonder everyone is leaving.
The level of inefficiency is astounding: 0.21 out of 10
They blocked my favorite site when I'm not off campus. So f-k them .
If they brought that "Tech" off campus I might change my mind.
What IT department? The one that blocked all the websites?
