Thread regarding US Foods layoffs

Our General Counsel and ELT member resigned with little or no notice

Does anyone know what happened? Her legal department is the one with many inadequate team members, but she was liked by executives. Anyone know what caused her to leave? I am told they were given a few days notice only but don't know why or if it is true.

@q0a Agree, all white guys. Not sure the company really believes in diversity.

It’s racism. Look at the ELT and see what is missing completely. Sue girl

Martha wasn't like the rest of these C suite white guys. Hopefully this new guy is good enough to fill her shoes.

@m2k I talked with an HR friend and they said DF hired his former lawyer - a white guy.

I thought MH was kind and smart. But I don’t think she was treated well. Being the only Asian woman exec doesn’t help. Did they replace her yet?

Now that's funny and very factual. We miss you Martha.

We still miss you M. We still have a weak puppet leader. We joke that the interim GC doesn't speak when the CHRO is drinking water.

Don’t know sh-t about this or who she was. But I agree with the report card on the legal department she ran.

All of that is a fact but lets not forget that she hired and managed the security and compliense and ethics d-mb fu--s. She deserves to be fired for that alone.

Get em M^rtha! You were treated differently because of your race. Ask yourself, other than ops and sales, which other teams are led at the top by non-white? We have had the privaledge of being white. That helps our men and women. Think about it. HR all white on down through the regions. Safety, White number 1 and 2. Audit is all white. Security is same. Marketing, same. Look at the VP level positions across the company that lead their entire team and it is the same. Operations is the same except for at the region level where they have a couple of VPs. but only for the region The Chef Stores is something we were getting rid of so their Prez is an African American. Finance, IT, Communications, Real Estate, etc. etc. are the same. They will sprinkle in some Senior Directors and Senior Managers but fall short of the VP titles and the respective salaries. You were the only corporate leader that did not fit that mold and look how you were handled. They let the marketing and security people fu-k up and nothing happens to them. I married an Asian male and have bi-racial kids, and seeing this speaks to our beliefs. Kudos to Ops and Sales for being the only one who have VPs in high positions. Sales has one or two Presidents but they dont have national reach. They only have a region so like ops, they are limited. Sue them to open doors in the future for kids like mine and level the playing field.

@5zy Wrong! Don't let who ever the fu-k BP is silence the masses. We are only asking for transparency and fairness.

@5xg You are right about everything but keep it internal. We don't know what BP can do to find out who is posting these and what he will do about it. I would suggest you speak with SG if you need to talk.

We miss you. Ever since you left, we have been tasked with doing some things that you would call unethical and one even illegal. Your temporary replacement, who will remain unnamed, has been taking instruction from the CHRO and other leaders that are very concerning and forcing me to consider departing and seeking another legal position as what we are doing now is not something I see as ethical. I only hope you are doing well and that you know you were valued and are missed here. It’s just not the same professional environment it once was.

Luckily they removed the security function from us. That eliminated 90% of the corruption. The way that new security lead thinks, speaks, and leads is highly concerning.

I aint mad bout this. If she was the one that the compliance man be his boss and if she also be the boss of the secure man, she aint bout nothing and I am glad she gone. She was really nice when she came on down to see us in Montgomery, but if she was they boss, she can roll down that road. Those two mens aint sh-t so she should go. And them two mothafu-kers too. They put new secure things in our Montgomery place but nothing done changed. Everything that was happenin is still gone down. We be telling our managers things are cool when they be asking but they not. Aint no damn difference. All this noise we be making aint doing nothing to help us.

Her departure was based on race, s-xism, and retaliation for them fu--ing up the hiring of two team members. One was not qualified and the other was a relative of an executive. They won't fire him because unlike us, he is a male and also is a white male. He is failing and they know it and yet he is still here. The difference, s-xism and possibly race because she was a minority.

@2nq The sh-----d is still fu--ing sh-t up from what I read on other posts below so I would bet that he will be let go soon too. That would mean that your girl doesn't stand a chance in court since they are just getting rid of trash. I agree that if the bogus fbi cop stays, she has a case and I would help her if she were to call me in to testify.

They threw her under the bus and left us with the pile of sh-t they hand picked to be the corporate cop. A lawsuit would be the smart thing to pursue.

it sounds like she was thrown under the bus. We could be wrong but sounds that way. She is an attorney so a lawsuit may be coming.

Well, if she is gone and he is still here and able to do this kinda sh-t, we know it ain’t her fault. So we now know. We still going to be quiet on sh-t. We still think he ain’t to be trusted here in the Gump. We say that all good but we know. And sh-t still flowing in and out at work. What was done make no difference really. So I’m gone enjoy my night off and start the same ole bullsh-t tomorrow.

Dear former general counnsel. If they let you go for what papa, and hun fu-kef up, start a law suit. If they fired you for letting his son go, you are set for life because that was the right move if what they said in other posts is true. Either way you will be set for life. If they fired your a-s for hiring an incompetent and inexperienced cop group, then you deserve it. If you resigned on your own, you were smart. That’s the real deal!

Maybe she was blown up for hiring the kid. Maybe for firing him, if the posts about that are true which they always tend to be on this board. I would have rather kept her than the VP that is still here. Fix the problem fu-k heads, not the cause.

@a3 Your message needs correction. They do have a food safety team but they aren't worth a sh-t. It is true that they don't communicate, audit, nor drive standardization. They are completely useless. And you are right. We are all doing our own thing in the field but maintaining our high standards without their fu--ing help. But you are also right that we are happy she gone. There are employees in our distribution center who talk on the floor about the lack of faith in them and how they won't report any wrong doing to them nor us because it would get to them and they recently don't trust the security teams now. As a manager, that bothers me because we won't know what the fu-k is happening here and it might lead to a big problem or accident or work violence that could have been stopped. With her gone, maybe they can solve that sh-t before employees get hurt and we get some lawsuits. So I am fu--ing happy she gone too.

Yes, my director spoke to a legal rep leader after a meeting my director and this leader were both on and he told her he reported to her and had only been working with her for two months and he said she couldn’t handle the heat and had made a series poor decisions and was not always supportive of the changes and staffing he needed to do his job. . He said he used to be a COO at another company and they had better legal support. He said they traveled together once and she was useless. I beg to differ, I met her a few times and found her to be nice and very smart and helpful. I am leaving names out to make sure I follow the layoff.com rules.

Good! Her group was a fu--ing disaster. Compliance is led by a fu--ing mo--n. Our contracts lack the right content. Security fell under her and she has the corrupt police federal fu-k with no experience in corporate America. Legal also doesn't have a real food safety program and they don't share the how to do it with any of us at the distribution centers so we all do it our own was. We welcome her getting the fu-k out. Now bring in someone to fire these d-mb fu--s in her group and bring in legal leaders that know how to get sh-t done and how to communicate with those of us in operations. Head on down the road and don't come back!
