3-4 months severance depending on level. A few dollars to off set a month of cobra.
I think the post below is alluding to the fact that he is merging with a company that has participated in the genocide of his own people since HPE support the IDF and they’ve been ruthlessly ki-ling Palestinians and bo----g Lebanon. I would agree with that - it’s disappointing to see that from him. I think he’s a good guy yes, but coming from a shared community, it’s hard to get past that because it’s well known how HPE has been complicit in enabling war crimes.
That all being said, this is about the concern for layoffs, and I am worried about what this means for juniper employees. HPE has a reputation for layoffs so I’m wondering what will come. I guess all we can do is wait and hope the severance package is substantial.
HPE core business after the split-off is Compaq. Majority of HPE's revenue comes from servers. And we all know how margin rich those servers really are! (sarcasm). Gotta admit HPE is at least diversifying their portfolio and it's because of the lack of physical server market.
Gone are the days of Enterprise customers building new datacenters. Instead they have moved to the cloud. And those were historically HPE's core business. HPE is a box company and it's because HPE is Compaq.
Aruba was purchased because they could sell wireless access points. Another type of box. Now Juniper is the newest "rich-margin" box company. Heck! They even bought Cray and SGI; more box companies with higher margins. It's not that hard to see. This isn't rocket science.
EDS was sold-off because they didn't sell HPE boxes. They were "open" to whatever the customer wanted. It didn't drive enough revenue to justify their expenses. And honestly, it was OLD and outdated solutions.
What we are seeing the consolidation of the IT market as a whole. Cloud computing has changed the industry. Be ready for more layoffs in the future because the Cloud giants taking the whole pie. Or go get those certifications and join the empires.
Interesting choice of words used by ML. “Combines”
“Juniper Networks combines with Hewlett Packard Enterprise to accelerate #AI native networking!“
I am not a fan of Juniper, and the management in particular stinks. I got out thankfully years ago. But the post about Rami above is nothing but racist. He is a decent human being, let down by so many people below him. There is no need for this sort of insulting post
Shame for all the good people that this will affect, but to the Head of EMEA finance, good riddance to you, you are a nasty piece of work, jealous of sales and the worst presenter of all time
I work for HPE, not Aruba but in storage. Aruba is the best run part of the company. Corporate exec suite, on the other hand, is incompetent.
Rami is a total sellout. He’s a Lebanese/Palestinian Arab American who allowed Juniper to be acquired by genocidal HPE. What a joke. We can absolutely expect layoffs with these sacks of sh-t. If they don’t care enough about the loss of civilian life in mass, they won’t care about our jobs. It’s all about lining their pockets.
@2nik+1qtQ1Jws man I work for Juniper and that post is a little hyperbole.
Compaq, yes is gone, but absorbed.
Aruba all gone? We compete and win over them every single day of my job. lol. Aruba was purchased 9 years ago and still running strong. AND more importantly, still Aruba.
Please stop.
HP is a layoffs machine company; better run as fast as you can!!!
HP bought EDS, and it's all gone.
HP bought Compaq (DIGITAL, WANG), all gone.
HP bought Aruba, and it's all gone.
It is a done deal. Here's the press release.

Looking like a done deal. The end for Juniper
Noon PT USA and no response. Nothing internal at all addressing rumours. The silence would seem to affirm. One might think there would be some sort of address for employees.
I feel like I've been gutpunched. I came to Juniper a few years back because they did things the right way.
Juniper is the new Compaq.
All you need to know about Juniper's Leadership

I honestly can't wait to see how the jokers (Juniper's CEO and his leadership minions) are gonna say that they're still winning with this acquisition.
Put Mist sw on Aruba? That is not worth $13B. Sell some parts to Dell maybe
This is doomsday. Board and investors and C level want that golden parachute and don't care about layoffs
Is this news true or is the fake news like Nokia or Ericson buyimng a few years back?

I imagine all the EX and QFX would go away, MX and Mist would stick around.
QFX yes but all of AIDE would stay minus SRX
Layoffs coming !!!!
What a disaster this would end up being. I imagine all the EX and QFX would go away, MX and Mist would stick around.
Seems like HPE is really only buying to acquire Mist
