Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Would the NSBU department get impacted?

I came from the Avi acquisition, I know this product is not mentioned much but wanted to ask feedback. What are the chances of this department to also get impacted by the layoff. Freaking out since I know this product is not known that well yet.

100% chance layoffs in NSX. Don’t be stupid. Question will be how much - 10%? 30%?
Hock looks at VMWare fat and bloated

Business ops are all on retention RSUs, vesting in March. Broadcom would have to pay them off. Hence unlikely to be laid off on day 1!
Stop the fear mongering.

Nobody knows. People who say they know are just guessing - if they did know, they wouldn't be here posting.

What we do know is that Business Operations are likely gone day 1. Outside of that, it's all speculation.

This is the first time experiencing a big announcement like this. I recently started looking at other positions in VMware but now I'm not so sure. I been through other layoffs before but I have a feeling this one will be huge. My boss and co-workers just say not to worry and we will be good but after reading the news not so sure. Sorry if my post sounded ignorant.

I am really curious--what made you think Avi is immune from Hock Tan?
